he gunman behind the Orlando nightclub shootings, the deadliest mass shooting in American history, recently scouted Walt Disney World as a potential target, a federal law enforcement source tells PEOPLE.

Omar Mateen and his wife, Noor Zahi Salman, visited Walt Disney World in April, the source says. Salman told federal authorities on Sunday that her husband had more recently been "scouting Downtown Disney and Pulse [nightclub] for attacks."

Target rich environment as well. With less security than the park.

Is this the wife supposedly from Uzbekistan? This couple sounds more and more like the San Bernardino terrorists..have a young child, scouting different locations for easy targets..and this guy’s father, what a piece of work, they interview him and he doesn’t seem to give a damn..says he saw his son the night before the attack, I bet they both “Prayed” together on one of those Islamic throws and he wished him good luck on his mission

Downtown Disney is highly vulnerable — easy access and throngs of people, plus no security. Orlando is filled with venues like this and would sensationalize the crime even more. As long as the idiots continue to blame guns, these places remain likely targets. I don’t think the Muslim crazies care who they murder as long as it’s non-believers and there is an abundance of targets.

There are many people on that list who do not belong there but have names similar to ones who are supposed to be on it. Using that list for a criterion to ban ownership or purchase of a firearm would bar a lot of good citizens from gun ownership. If the list is an official criterion then a lot of other people would be put on it , perhaps whole categories just for the purpose of infringing on their RKBA. There is NO valid reason to bar anyone from buying or owning a weapon of any kind. RKBA SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. That is absolute. It is modifiable only by the involuntary servitude clause of the 13th Amd which can be construed to bar incarcerated prisoners.

Disney is a soft target. Around opening times there are tons of people waiting to get on trams or waiting on line to go through security/ticket gate.

Interesting to see if Disneyworld is going to welcome the Gay Day freaks in their red T-shirts.

Disney is all about fags. But allow extra time for security check.

I think the reason why the shooter dropped the idea is that Downtown Disney--being linked with the entire Disney World complex--has a LOT of hidden security. As such, if he had attempted to shoot at Downtown Disney, he would have been put down by security guards in very short order.

It may appear that way, but the entire Disney World complex has a LOT of hidden security--including some working as "cast members"--that could make short work of that shooter. In contrast, the Pulse nightclub had relatively little security and the shooter probably noted the relatively few exits, which makes people inside the nightclub even more vulnerable.

Oh my.

So, he wanted to kill Americans, not just homosexuals.

Obama was warned to NOT release Moslem terrorists from Guantanamo because it would make the US look weak and would invite more Moslem terrorist attacks on Americans.

Obama ignored those warnings.

Obama owns this massacre completely.

Investigated twice plus this and yet he passed a background check to purchase the weapons just last week? Something is way wrong in that process.

Nope. Gay Day at Disney World was a week earlier.

We have constitutional rights to own firearms. We don’t have constitutional rights to fly on commercial airlines.

Do they still have “Gay Day” at Disney World? It’s usually the second weekend in June, so this past weekend would have been that day.

“If you are on the “Do Not Fly” list how can you possibly be allowed to buy / own a gun?”

Being on some arbitrary “list” isn’t the same as being legally adjudicated/convicted of something that strips you of any Constitutional Rights.
