Hey FREEPERS, I was looking for a good Netflix or Amazon prime free movie this W/E.
I was leaning toward Vanilla Sky (I know, everyone but me hates Tom Cruz).
Anyone else see anything decent?
“Last Man Standing” is now on Netflix. Excellent show.
I’ve never seen but I disagree “ everyone hates Tom Cruise.”
Yeah, he’s a kook, but he always turns in a decent performance.
I finally got around to watching Fury on Amazon Prime last week. Good war movie. I think you need Starz though.
On Netflix a comedy special, Sebastian Maniscalco: Aren’t You Embarrassed?, is very funny.
What kind of movies do you like? Action Scifi romance?
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress is a great show if you’re interested in anime. It’s on amazon prime.
Tom Cruise exploded himself dead in the first episode of Preacher.
Megaforce (1982 turkey) has all that plus cheese galore.
Bkmrk.
‘Gattaca’ is available, and recommended.
Just finished binging on the current season of House of Cards, since the real political scene has calmed somewhat.
I usually keep about a hundred titles in my queue - half TV series and half movies.
Trailer Park Boys.
Watched a movie titled Risen, on Vudu. It deals with the struggle of the Roman ruling elite, seen through the eyes of a Roman tribune, to locate the body of Jesus and disprove the Resurrection. Well-acted, a little gory, but essentially true to the Word of God.

Foyle’s War is a British detective series set during WWII. Everything about it is terrific; the star is probably the best leading actor I’ve ever seen. Also Miss Fisher, set during the 1920s, right after WWI, in Australia. Both are on Netflix.
House of Cards had me tuning out with the stupid orgy scene with Francis, Claire and their secret service guy. Tell me, was that just a one-off or does a storyline explore that any further. Up to that point it was a great show and I was enjoying it.
Gattaca, Equalibrium are good and carry dystopian worries. Vanilla sky is entertaining and well done, but a bit empty. Reminds me of a Philip K. Dick story.
New Netflix sitcom called The Ranch, yes it has Ashton Kutcher in it, but Sam Elliott turns in a great performance.
It was a one-off, but face it, Francis is scum and continues to do different scummy things.
Just watched The Intern( Robert De Niro, Anne Hathaway, Rene Russo) I liked it a lot.
Also The Vacation was very good
