I agree - some of them appear to be ‘gazing around’, which leads me to believe they are at ‘at ease march’...I have no idea whether or not phones are allowed when ‘at ease march’, and it doesn’t really showcase the cadets very well to do that with so many in the public around...but this wasn’t on the parade field.

That is just sick. Davy Crockett was right. We should abolish West Point. We get better officers nowadays from Western Kentucky University, Texas A&M, the University of Alabama, et al and its cheaper too.
There's another one that needs to be drummed out.
My relative was a cadet there long before the first women were snuck in. But even then there was talk about it, and one of the cadet publications included an amusing lampoon of what the co-ed Academy would be like.
I won der if he still has that.
