Karen Richardson of Victor, Idaho was visiting the scenic park last week when she saw a man and his son roll up to a ranger station with a baby bison in the back of their SUV.
"They were demanding to speak with a ranger," Richardson told EastIdahoNews.com. "They were seriously worried that the calf was freezing and dying."

Maybe it self identified as a transgendered human and wanted to use the girls’ bathroom ?
It could happen.
Local AM station near Glacier Park long ago had a regular morning segment titled “Dumb Tourist Tricks”.
Different story every time, usually involving some different critter but mostly young un’s and consistently dumber than a pile of wet stone.
Now, I’m 100 miles North of Yellowstone and nobody on radio or TV ever says anything like that. I had chalked it up to PC or maybe the local media didn’t want to drive away the tourist dollah, then I saw this thread.
God help us, those tourists have just gotten dumber.
Ha ha ha, or Allstate. Furry Mayhem.
Nope. Looks fine, standing strong.
The uneducated can be taught, they can learn.
YOU JUST CAN’T FIX STUPID.
My first thought was veal....of a different source.
Any large urban area. A couple of years ago I was in a MacDonalds in the Atlanta 'burbs eating breakfast and seated in an adjacent booth were some wolf release enthusiasts gushing on about how wonderful it was to get wolves back in the environment, and what a magical experience it was to actually have sighted one in some park out west. (I sh!t you not the woman* actually used the word magical), and then the got going on how the ranchers would never miss a few cows or sheep and it would be worth it get them released in North Carolina. At that point I finished by breakfast and left before they could totally ruin an egg MacMuffin
*You can probably guess what she looked like mid '50s shape like a toad, and a face that belonged on PBS. The rest of the group was about the same age.
“.......you knew I was a bison when you took me in........”
You serious Clark? This thing is part of the Yellowstone food chain. If it freezes to death, wolves, bears and coyotes get a meal. Those folks should’ve left the bison alone.
Sometimes it’s not country slow, it’s just stupid

Or Farmer’s...

Wow! Idiot liberals no doubt.
All visitors should be forced to declare their “political leanings” at the entrances.
Liberals must sit and watch Yellowstone “Battle for Life” and acknowledge understanding before admission.
That thing wouldn’t get close to freezing to death, a pack of wolves would take care of that chill in no time.
Farmers, no?
(They’re the ones with the stag party)
She was just thinnin’ the herd! ;)
Amusing article - mostly bullsh!t, but amusing anyway.
UPDATE
On Monday, officials said that the calf had been euthanized a week after visitors picked the animal up and put it in the trunk of an S.U.V. The calf was killed because it was later rejected by its herd and appeared to have been habituated to humans, Morgan Warthin of the National Park Service wrote in a statement.
