Sorry for the vanity, but this is getting tiresome to me. The same few posters find any drivel to support Lyin' Ted or any screed to jab Mr. Trump. We all know who they are. What if nobody responds to their attempts to incite? Maybe the threads die out sooner and some of the invectives against one another lessen.
I know that I have been purposely avoiding even reading articles posted by the select few. I have found my blood pressure to be much better once I started ignoring the falling trees.

Not one of those terms you listed describe adherence to Donald Trump in terms akin to the Islamic evil of cutting off heads, raping women and children, stated goals of destroying everything not Islamic, burning people alive, etc, etc..the list is almost endless...

This whole thread represents the demise of Free Republic as I’ve known it all these years. I honestly prefer others to Trump in large part because I am intimately familiar with the type and sceptical about his true motives. I don’t believe you can invest your trust in any one man the way many Trump supporters have done. Trump supporter behavior both on Free Republic and in my community have increased rather than lessened my doubts about the man. The dragging in of questionable sources, outright lies and ignoring legitimate information has made this forum unreadable. I can go through and read the articles and avoid the comments but I can also go to the sources on my own. Without the fellowship of and interaction in the comments section the forum has a greatly reduced value. I logged on today for the first time in a week or so to see if it was any better. The first post I see is one that advocates elimination of all but a single point of view. What more can I say.
Calls to boycott this or prohibit that are pathetic, in my opinion, and give a bad impression of one’s candidate.

You could come by the Undead Thread and talk about the weather and share cat pictures ...
You should maybe go back - oh, way back - and look at how supportive this forum was for Ted Cruz up to the point where Trump started pushing your emotional buttons. Feel free to delete Cruz supporters, I expect this kind of behavior from Trump cultists, but please don’t ever again use the false argument that Trump is some kind of Big Tent genius.
It’s not “shutting down cruz supporters”. It’s trying to maintain an effective website. Some of the cruzers have basically become nothing but trolls and spammers.

That’s how I see it. There’s no reason to have a dialogue with nasty, delusional jerks. If we want that, we should let the Democrats on the board, too.
As some here have wrongly inferred, I am not for "shutting anyone up". All I'm saying is that until this primary is settled it may help if the Trump camp backs off the bait some article posters want to put out there. Let the Mr. Cruz supporters back slap each other on their threads. If an obvious error is observed by them and someone needs to correct it, try to do so without the taunts.

Because lots of Trump people at first did not use any of those names.
But among the Cruz people, it became so fashionable and acceptable to casually and constantly use them, that many Trump people got fed up in the end and started making up their own.
In the beginning I had always said “Cruz people” and “Cruz supporters”, but even in the end I got sick of their constant use of those stupid names, and slipped into making up my own.
I for one will be glad when all of it disappears into FR history and we all laugh about it years from now.
Good grief it is silly to say Cruz supporters are banned/boycotted. Because you have a favorable opinion of Cruz does not mean that I personally MUST read your thread anymore than you need to upset yourself reading pro Trump threads. They are here for whoever chooses and should be banned only if offensive.
My boycotting your Cruz thread means nothing more than I dislike the man and avoid upsetting myself with it. You are free to post whatever non offensive materials Jim allows and it seems to me he only draws a line at those who would prefer Hillary. Honesty is your friend!

You have no idea what threads I read (although my posting history is public), nor do I know that about you. Your “boycotting” a positive thread about Cruz is an invisible, private act, which nobody would ever notice unless you made a public scene about it ... which is what the OP seems to be advocating.

Nonsense. This is a discussion board. You do not have any first amendment rights to be heard here. It’s run by a team of moderators following the rules for content and decorum laid out by the people who started the site. We don’t let democrats rail on here, either... is THAT “suppressing” their first amendment rights, too?
And, yes, Trump is the presumptive candidate. There’s no reason to allow people here who have the intent to spew anti-Trump propaganda, insult him or his supporters, or really do anything BUT support him. Why would I let anyone into my home if their intent is to walk around and break things? I don’t see this cyber-space as being much different.

At least this person isnt demanding that JimRob kick off all Cruz supporters, like Cruz people tried twice back in January, nor are any Trump supporters making threats against the site owner, like Cruz supporters have done multiple times as well, including chewing him out in comments, and coaxing people to not donate to FR and instead give the money to Cruz.
And then you have the serial Cruz posters that would spam FR with the same story 5-10 times to the point where they HAD to be kicked off because they were trying to smother the site to a standstill.
FR has become a Trump love fest forum. After 16 years with FR...goodbye all. I will find somewhere that has intelligent discourse.

You putting your own bias into my premise. Nowhere have I asked to eliminate anyone’s point of view. What am I suggesting is that those that disagree with it may any to consider avoiding it altogether. We have watched so many threads devolve into flames. The only purpose it serves is the left’s desire to pit us against one another.
