Because lots of Trump people at first did not use any of those names.
But among the Cruz people, it became so fashionable and acceptable to casually and constantly use them, that many Trump people got fed up in the end and started making up their own.
In the beginning I had always said “Cruz people” and “Cruz supporters”, but even in the end I got sick of their constant use of those stupid names, and slipped into making up my own.
I for one will be glad when all of it disappears into FR history and we all laugh about it years from now.

The nasty name calling and lying on the Trump side started when your candidate started using it in his campaign rhetoric...
That doesn’t justify what Cruz supporters called Trump supporters..
