This whole thread represents the demise of Free Republic as I’ve known it all these years. I honestly prefer others to Trump in large part because I am intimately familiar with the type and sceptical about his true motives. I don’t believe you can invest your trust in any one man the way many Trump supporters have done. Trump supporter behavior both on Free Republic and in my community have increased rather than lessened my doubts about the man. The dragging in of questionable sources, outright lies and ignoring legitimate information has made this forum unreadable. I can go through and read the articles and avoid the comments but I can also go to the sources on my own. Without the fellowship of and interaction in the comments section the forum has a greatly reduced value. I logged on today for the first time in a week or so to see if it was any better. The first post I see is one that advocates elimination of all but a single point of view. What more can I say.
You could come by the Undead Thread and talk about the weather and share cat pictures ...
Good grief it is silly to say Cruz supporters are banned/boycotted. Because you have a favorable opinion of Cruz does not mean that I personally MUST read your thread anymore than you need to upset yourself reading pro Trump threads. They are here for whoever chooses and should be banned only if offensive.
My boycotting your Cruz thread means nothing more than I dislike the man and avoid upsetting myself with it. You are free to post whatever non offensive materials Jim allows and it seems to me he only draws a line at those who would prefer Hillary. Honesty is your friend!
You putting your own bias into my premise. Nowhere have I asked to eliminate anyone’s point of view. What am I suggesting is that those that disagree with it may any to consider avoiding it altogether. We have watched so many threads devolve into flames. The only purpose it serves is the left’s desire to pit us against one another.
I had the same idea. Thought I would avoid "News/Activism" and just read "General Interest Chat", which usually has some very interesting reading. I was disappointed to find that just about every other thread was either slamming Cruz or just more Trump worship. Really disappointing.

Looks that way doesn’t it?........and it certainly looks like this is the way it’s going to be. It does appear the majority want this to be a “Trumptopia” so it’s probably better to just leave.
I don’t see how it’s even possible, for the general election, to return here regardless of who wins. It’s not just the election, it’s how I’ve seen this Trump mania turn people into something I’ve not seen in them before. It’s dark and it’s nasty.
I stopped posting once it became obvious the attacks were indeed to get people to leave, or provoke them sufficient enough to get them zotted...and this from people I’ve known for years I thought higher of....and I still see this is the agenda of far too many here.
You also stated..”What more can I say”.......well that is the point....the freedom to do so isn’t here now....it’s become something else here than what I’ve known....and that’s what’s so difficult to get ones head around.
