An 11-year-old boy from Talladega, Alabama, boasted about shooting at a fleeing burglar 12 times and mocked the man (whom he had wounded in the leg) for crying like a baby.
Chris Gaither told WVTM news he was home alone Wednesday morning when he heard an intruder breaking into his house.

Five percent of the adult population of my state has a concealed carry license, so I bet your two percent number is low.
Welcome to FR. Can the attitude, you may not be here long otherwise.
Law in Russia, too?
I would think castle doctrine covers this one.

>> Id have to live in Russia to hear a story happening in my own country <<
Wrong. The “RT” channel, a/k/a Russia Today, is an English-language outfit that is not aimed at Russia. It is for viewing in English-speaking countries.
(I doubt that you can even pick it up in Russia, altho’ I’m not 100% sure.)
Anyway, RT is one of President Putain’s main dis-information outlets, and it has long been strongly anti-USA. The bias is so thick so blatant that the channel is almost impossible to watch for more than a few minutes. If your cable or satellite provider doesn’t carry RT, I’d say you’re lucky.
Therefore, now that Al Jazeera America has bitten the dust, RT is your channel of choice if you love to consume anti-American propaganda.
(Added extra attraction: RT now carries the execrable Ed Schultz, having hired Ed after he was booted from MSNBC.)
He’d have been even “scarier” if he’d actually aimed for the idiot’s head and dispersed the perp.
home alone
hmmm....I think I’ve seen this movie before somewhere
“The kid was totally wrong shooting a fleeing suspect. Totally.”
LOL! Midnight lawyers offering free advice to folks.
Priceless....
It’s a conspiracy
“The kid was totally wrong shooting a fleeing suspect. Totally.”
The boy does say that the burglar said he was going to “kill him”.
No 11 year old in Alabama is going to be prosecuted in these circumstances.
You are correct that shooting at someone who no longer poses a threat is currently illegal in most states. It was not always so, and the public mindset seems to be changing, and the laws may change back to what they were.
bump for later
In TX it is permissible to shoot a fleeing ruffian if he has some of your or a neighbor’s possessions and there is no other way to prevent him from absconding.
It is especially permissible at night.
