An 11-year-old boy from Talladega, Alabama, boasted about shooting at a fleeing burglar 12 times and mocked the man (whom he had wounded in the leg) for crying like a baby.
Chris Gaither told WVTM news he was home alone Wednesday morning when he heard an intruder breaking into his house.

Hah, I love it! Don’t do the crime if you’re just gonna whine.
Sort of a scary kid
Kid needs range time, though stress certainly messed with his aim.........
Burglar should be grateful the kid doesn’t know how to aim a gun.
1. Why was it was necessary to add "Russia Today" to the headline, since the source is right below, and it seems redundant?
2. Why was RT changed to 'Russia Today', when RT is its official name?
3. Why the article was re-categorized to "Russia", when it has jack all to do with Russia.

smart survivor
He has the proper mentality of a southerner, but needs to work on his aim.
Once again, I’d have to live in Russia to hear a story happening in my own country.
You can’t shoot someone who is running away.
Apparently you can.

Holy crap!
Probably fewer than two percent of so-called Freepers posting at this time of night have actually prepped for, trained, and obtained concealed weapons permits. If they had they wouldn’t say such stupid things. So the BS and phony tough guy acts you see here are based on ignorance of the law. It is the case that it is unlawful to shoot at a person who is running away or otherwise removing themselves from the scene of a crime. Practically all states have that as a restriction in their statutes on self-defense or castle doctrine/home invasion. By definition someone running away from you is not, or no longer is, an existential threat to you or your domicile. Retribution is not part of any self-defense statute that I am aware of. The kid was totally wrong shooting a fleeing suspect. Totally.
The next sequel: Home Alone 10: Full Metal Jacket bullet
Wrong! He was shooting at a criminal, fleeing possible arrest and bound to commit more crimes in the future.
Heard the same blanket statement from Leis W., Kimberly G. and O’Reilly Friday.
Unless the law has recently changed here in Texas, you CAN shoot at someone who has stolen from your property or attempted a break-in there... IF it’s at night.
A man was no-billed by a grand jury a few years ago for shooting a criminal from his 2nd floor bedroom window with a rifle as the guy was trying to get away after stealing something from his backyard.
More of those damned Amish NUTSCAR Yutes causing problems again...
