The Rev. Daniel Berrigan, a Roman Catholic priest and peace activist who was imprisoned for burning draft files in a protest against the Vietnam War, died Saturday. He was 94.
Berrigan died at Murray-Weigel Hall, a Jesuit health care community in New York City after a "long illness," according to Michael Benigno, a spokesman for the Jesuits USA Northeast Province.
"He died peacefully," Benigno said.

Expect it.
Good riddance.
.
I am not sure if they ever physically appeared with Fonda or Kerry but Daniel did travel to Hanoi in 1968 to show his support for the North Vietnamese. Also was at a lot of draft card burning protests.
I find myself hoping that the “peace” he felt only lasted about 3.2 milliseconds.
Prayers for a deeply misguided soul.
The '60's sucked. Dad was in Vietnam, I couldn't cross the street without mommy's permission, and had to go to bed at 8:30 ever night.
Nice reply.
He went home to his Master, in Hell. Good riddance.
Thank you. The gut instinct is to issue a more colorful condemnation as to where he should spend an eternal vacation, but it’s really not a very Christian thing to do, so one can only hope they somehow repented of their actions and beliefs by the last moment of their life. We can trust God dealt with him justly.
Amen.
The earth is a slightly cleaner place with Berrigan's soul in flames.
Here’s something good -— perhaps unexpected -— about Daniel Berrigan: he got arrested protesting at an abortion clinic,
I think it was in Rochester, NY. He did occasionally write and speak against abortion, and firmly faced down the Marxists who opposed him.
I will pray for his acceptance by Christ as a penitent. It’s what I’d pray for my own soul.
I don’t think he was a communist. He was more a pacifist. More like John Woolman than Karl Marx.
a bit vague but there is that
He was a Jesuit. Just like Pope Che.’
Oh, yeah. Silence becomes us, I suppose, but I have a few things I want to say that I doubt I'd regret...
May he rot in Hell. I’ve never heard anyone filled with as much hatred of the United States as “Fr.” Berrigan.
Good riddance.
