No, it's not a death metal version...this time.
I record all my music under the stage name of Hopalong Ginsberg. These days that's probably a microagression.

As someone who was blessed to have two shelter kitties in her life and is currently sponsoring two shelter kitties until I am we’ll enough to adopt one and give it a forever home, this is wonderful.
It’s as good as “kitties are so nice” and to prove it, I’m emailing this song to the most famous cat man alive. Yes, I’m sending this to Bubbles.
You two are MY favorite cat men. But alas, not as famous as Bubbles.
The Bag pipe portion of this video is just not “bagpipe” scored.
Bagpipe music MUST have grace notes in order to be called “bagpipe music” . These are called by various names but the simplest of them are called “throws” such as the “D” throw.
The grip and the Taorluath are more complicated but do-able with practice..
Without grace notes and the finger training necessary to
play them, there is no bagpipe music, just meandering , drooling tonals.
Bagpipe music is precise and crisp. This thread video , though well intended,is not at all bagpipe music. It is not even scored properly.
But this is: ( grace note tutorial)

Watch for the grace notes...they make bagpipe music.
Bagpipe music looks like this, notice the grace notes:

Jazz can be played on the bagpipes but one has to know how to read the music and perform the grace notes correctly with precision.
Jazz bagpipe sounds like this, this is the Irish style, listen for the doublings, the music is scored with grace notes, two of the greatest Uillean Pipers alive today Paddy Keenan and Padddy Maloney:

Good idea. Kitties ARE so nice.
If you can direct me to a guide to assigning grace notes to music without grace notes I will happily consult it.
Incidentally, I do use grace notes in this piece. Perhaps they are difficult to hear with the accompanying instruments.
You can start here, but do not be afraid to get a practice chanter and take a few bagpipe lessons, you will be very glad you did:
