According the the US Government's National Data Buoy Center (NDBC), some type of "event" in the ocean off the New Jersey coast triggered a Tsunami Buoy!

The buoy recorded sudden changes in water depth of fifty-five METERS (180 feet) in a matter of seconds.

FWIW I’ve been tempted to post articles here that I am forwarded via email or FB by friends, but I try to vette the source first. More than a few times, after a few minutes of research, I’ve found the source to be a fake news site or a blog just repeating a story from a fake news site assuming it was real.

Superstation95 is notorious for promoting false or overly alarming stories with no factual basis or with false claims and or misinterpretations of actual data, whether intentional or out of ignorance.

Yes. I know a lot of people have issues with Snopes but they often do a good job in exposing some hoaxes.

Superstation95 is also a highly questionable source in as that they gave a show, gave air time to and had an on-going relationship with the white supremacist and anti-Semitic Holocaust denier, perhaps himself even a fake - an FBI informant - Hal Turner.
