Well, I am not one to be throwing any stones. Let your conscience be your guide.

You guys will criticize Cruz no matter what. He’s never said he was our spiritual leader. You’d rather have a confessed philanderer three timedays married then anot imperfect Christian.

Guess what, we are all imperfect. Stop persecuting Christiand.

If you claim a ‘charitable contribution’ on your taxes for governmental consideration, it isn’t very ‘charitable’.

I receive a statement from my church each year. It’s up to me whether to claim it on my taxes or not.

Or someone who doesn’t want the govt to know. Who are you to judge?

Since this campaign started I’ve seen a lot of “conservatives” support a lot of no conservative ideas. Praising planned parenthood, tax increases, men in women’s bathrooms, bribes, off shore investing, supporting liberals for personal enrichment, and a host of other things.

Jesus admonished us that when we give, we are not supposed to let anyone know. No one should know if you tithe or not. That’s none of anyone’s business.

Maybe you should tell your pastor to mind his own business and to stop gossipping about the giving habits of people other than himself.

Now you're just being nonsensical.

Cruz has a base salary of a million as a senator?

I’m in Ohio so we had our primary already. I voted for Cruz, but thanks for the unsolicited advice.

My issue is the double standard. There were plenty of Cruz supporters on the Trump veteran’s charity thread trying to imply that since all the pledged money hadn’t been given out yet that made Trump some sort of con man. It does not, just as this doesn’t make Cruz a false Christian. We’re under grace, not the law, and God, not me, is Cruz’s judge.

I will call out hypocrisy of Cruz’s supporters every time, though.

Because it’s a stupid topic he brought up. No one knows whether Cruz donates to charities or gives money to the church without declaring it. I’m no Cruz fan (or really any of them, dem or repub) but any Republican will be a lot better than those two crooks on the other side. We wonder why better men don’t run for office. Who needs the anal probe these guys get?

If a man’s faith isn’t worth 10% it probably isn’t worth 10 cents.
Tithing isn’t a “law” for Christians, it need not, necessarily be given to an organization... But it is a godly principle.

That is correct. If a person goes to a church and even joins one, it is unfair to that church for you to stiff week after week. The church needs to keep the lights on and perform its responsibilities to the congregation and is missionaries.

Tithing is a private matter, perhaps Cruz doesn’t document what he gives.

Christians, especially born again Christians are commanded to tithe and Cruz has a million, two in base salary

Get your facts straight before you gossip about others:

The current salary (2016) for rank-and-file members of the House and Senate is $174,000 per year.

That is a form of tithing. It doesn’t always have to be money. Time, Talents and Treasures are all considered tithes. Most churches just want the cold hard cash though.
