It is such a gimme. Women and girls are very vulnerable in the restroom. The walls are usually thick. They are in a compromised position. The transgendered have no proof that they are what they claim to be. No one is examining the transgendered for mental illness either. What is to stop packs of rapists from dressing like women and raping women and molesting little girls. It was such a gimme and Donald dropped the ball.

I don’t approve of any perversion, but the law is not enforceable without a gender monitor at the bathroom door. Ugly women or transgender will be questionable at the door.
So yes self responsibility for adults to monitor children is a huge issue. Personally I avoid all public bathrooms as much as possible as they are just nasty. I don’t peer in stalls and would give what for to anyone who did so to me.
So in your view it’s inappropriate for the govt to make a law prohibiting men from going into a woman’s restroom. What about dressing rooms? Public showers? Can the govt regulate anything at all or should everything be parental responsibility? Obviously someone like a drug dealer didn’t have good parenting.
How many unenforceable laws do you want? Most laws are poorly enforced or aren’t enforced. Personally I don’t want them in my country, but at 67 I have yet to have encountered a transgender in a restroom.

Why is it an unenforceable law? The reason you haven’t encountered one yet is because it was socially unacceptable and they would be prosecuted under other laws.
There is a movement to force acceptance and legalization of this activity. This law is intended to counter that move.

I don’t see that this law in particular will cause a massive upswing of bathroom assaults because that is still illegal.

It is not the government's job to protect children. That is the job of parents. Most of us get really upset when the government takes over the role of parent. There are laws against pedophiles but they still attack unprotected children. Parents or responsible adults protect children.

The abortion laws are so bad because now because Christians are not always the smartest warriors to achieve their great goals.
Christians could have saved tens of millions of lives if they kept their goals but went for what they could in increments.

I have a hard time believing that there was a huge outcry from the citizens of NC wanting legislation on the use of bathrooms. Perverts currently cross dress and use bathrooms now and there is no way to enforce it without an overt act on the part of the pervert. So the law will do nothing to stop that behavior but has united the liberals to rain misery down on NC and those same brave political souls who passed it will slink away with their tails between their legs and the right will once again be left holding the bag as bigoted folks who don't care about anybody but themselves.
