A Charlotte waitress says she was infuriated and hurt when a group of ladies left a message for her on their bill taking aim at her sexual orientation.
Alexandra Judd works at Zada Janes in Charlottes Plaza Midwood. She says a group of patrons she served for lunch Tuesday morning left her a hateful message in lieu of a tip.
A Bible verse was left on the tip pointing Judd to Leviticus 20:13.
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination, the King James version of the Old Testament verse reads. They shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Judd is gay.
The bottom of the receipt had a message for her as well: Praying for you!
I never expected a hateful gesture like this, Judd said of the comments. Ive had a guest leave me a pamphlet to their church as a tip one time, but I didnt feel as if they were being hateful towards me. The ladies that came in were very rude, and would hardly talk to me but I never expected this.
She says she was infuriated and hurt by what she saw.
Ive heard of people leaving fake money, or writing funny stuff in the tip spot of a check but never believed it would happen to me, in the way that it did, she said. Judd posted a picture of the receipt on her Facebook page. Her co-workers and friends have shared the post and shared their shock and anger in the comments.
According to Judd, shes lived in North Carolina nearly a year after moving from a small town in Alabama.
She has taken part in a few rallies for equality since she has moved to Charlotte, including Wednesday nights rally in uptown Charlotte against North Carolinas House Bill 2.
I dont care what anyone says, this is the most disrespectful thing you can do, she wrote about the incident on Facebook. Dont pray for me darling, I have everything I could possibly want and need in my life.
God is love. God is light.
‘Pod
It may very well be a hoax. She’s still living in sin and needs to be prayed for.
I never expected a hateful gesture like this,”
Wait, what. . .”praying for you” is now a hateful act?
the writing in the tip section is different than the total and the note at the bottom, that much is very clear.
Totally different “2’s” on the receipt.
Hoax. . .again. . .
The written numbers don’t match in the tip line and total line, I bet the waitress sucked so they left “0” tip and the poor little queer decided to punish them with an falsehood.
It’s not uncommon to pay with a credit card but leave a cash tip on the table. I do it all the time.
This stinks to high heaven of HOAX!
1) The receipt looks like the customer copy, not the merchant copy.
2) The writing not only doesn’t match, it looks like it’s “floating” on top of the image by photoshop.
poor baby got her feelings hurt....suck it up and go on with your life....whiners about such stuff is getting to be a bit much...
“worth much more than a tip”
especially once the gofundme account gets started...
She looks lebezian to me but not hard enough for dyke
Maybe praying for better service
Some people leave their tips in cash for the benefit of the waiter. I'm guessing that was done here. they dyke is pulling a hoax.
That’s the trouble, though. There are a lot of women who are more masculine looking, or just plain-plain out there, but are also very straight. And there are many attractive, very feminine, ‘pink’ lesbians as well.
So, as I originally wrote, unless they are wearing a t-shirt proclaiming they are a lesbian, or tell you outright, directly or indirectly (like mentioning their “girlfriend”), most people wouldn’t know.
The same problem exists with homosexual men, many of whom are burly blue-collar type guys, very different from the stereotypical ‘pink’ homosexuals.
In any event, back to the original story, how could the customers there tell beyond a reasonable doubt that she was a lesbian?
Seeing that the total came to an even amount, I would guess that this check was split with one or more persons and that the tip ended up on someone else’ receipt. Also, the Bible verse would have been included at the bottom with the ‘Praying for You’ message instead of on the gratuity line.
In any event, back to the original story, how could the customers there tell beyond a reasonable doubt that she was a lesbian?
I just disagree
I can tell a dyke normally without being told same as I can a homosexual man
Now a straight girl who like girls too is harder to peg
There are no truly bisexual men any more than true hermaphrodites
The women I've known in my life....a few...who looked normal and were pink as you say and were 100% lesbian had always without fail been abused and lost their ability to relate or feel safe with men sexually and found refuge in women even though ironically that is not stats wise safer
I have an 80 year old aunt who was abused as a girl and has polio since teens. She's been in a partnership with her girlfriend who's more masculine since the late 50s
I'm quite found of them and they have always kept it on the very down low....church going country women who have never shouted to be married but the more masculine partner you can tell but neither advertises
I've watched lib specials on lesbians...that freak show Polyamory on Shiwtime I think...what's the first thing lesbians seem to reach for in sex?.....a penetrating device....they crave coitus but they don't want men...I find that so tellingly
Where I think queer nation goes off the rails is allowing sexuality to be their identifier plus I rarely meet a man who is a homosexual who isn't neurotic as well
Lesbians....not so much neurotic but damaged and hurt whether by men or nature
Women are based so much on looks from time immemorial and are so emotional by nature and to be homely and feel that as a child is so painful ..,a man can make for that but a women either wins the DNA lottery or not
when I was young unmarriable women became teachers usually or career govt workers...now they become lesbians too
Hoax
Yeah, and the 3. Hmmph.
Don’t know how this is going to turn out, but her removing the post makes her look totally guilty.
