Serious Question for Cruz Supporters (VANITY)
04/14/2016 | Les Dowrey

Posted on 04/14/2016 12:42:16 PM PDT by LesDowrey

If Ted Cruz were to win the GOP Nomination on the 2nd ballot or further down the line, he will have won the GOP nomination based on STOPPING Trump, not SUPPORTING Ted. That's not really a great way to win is it? Also, if he couldn't beat Trump at the ballot box, how will he beat Hillary?

If they succeed in taking out Trump, then they will go after Cruz. They want an establishment person in for the general election. Then the Cruz folks will wonder what hit them.

Cruz doesn't pass the electoral beer test. Rather have a beer with Hillary or Cruz? Well, if Bill comes along, she's more fun. Even without Bill, Cruz is the smart kid who tries to tell a joke in class and the only one who laughs is the teacher, who's an ass. Cruz is like a leftover character from "Welcome Back, Kotter."

And now this stuff about how he tried to ban sex toys...boy, he's gonna be a hit with the 54-million unmarried women!

I just don't get those polls that claim he is more electable than Trump. They must be asking evangelicals, 75% of whom do not show up on Election Day regardless of how loud they are before the Big Day!

Exactly. The majority parasite vote - people receiving government money in one way or another - has to be overcome to beat the democrats. Cruz WILL NOT get enough crossover and independent votes to do it. Trump is already doing it.

cruz has to win VA, FL and there is no way he will win here in FL.
The few who were for him are now not voting for him and I have only seen one cruz sticker, no yard signs driving around here in north east FL and central FL

he never won a county here and if he gets to go against Clinton then she will win.

I’ve been begging for unity for months and think Trump and Cruz are setting up a devastating end-run around the establishment. Ted has to convince the gop-e to lend him their machine he and Trump are going to bury them with. Watch for signs and portents of this: Cruz and Trump agree on about 80% of issues, and respect each other. And cannot win without the other, most importantly, so they’re harvesting the maximum votes their skills and appeal allow across the R electorate. I predict unity after the second ballot.

Ted’s killing himself. At the family town hall with his daughters in the audience;

T. CRUZ: He would be someone that you would be a fool not to look at seriously. He’s very, very talented. And, you know, you asked if Marco and I are friends. Let me tell you a story.

So last year, I wrote a book called “A Time for Truth.” And in the book, one of the chapters is talking about the year I spent as a law clerk at the Supreme Court. And it describes — the chapter begins with me watching pornography on the Internet with Sandra Day O’Connor, which was a bit of a bizarre experience.

(LAUGHTER)

It was the first of the Internet porn cases to go to the court, and the court librarians were showing the justices what the Internet was, and they’d pull it up, and the story I told, I was clerking for Chief Justice Rehnquist. They paired the chief justice and Justice O’Connor and their law clerks were in this little room looking at this computer screen that pulls up hardcore porn. And Justice O’Connor — I still remember, she leaned forward and she squinted and said, “Oh, my!”

But the Marco piece of this — so the book comes out and there were some — you know, reporters thought that was a funny story, so they wrote about that story. And I’m on a plane and Marco texts me and says, “Holy cow, you watched porn? Our oppo researchers missed that.”

(LAUGHTER)

Now that was funny. And listen, he’s got a good sense of humor. I laughed when he sent that text.

exactly here in FL Clinton will wipe the floor with cruz.

His remark about NY Values certainly gave him a loss in FL.

he has only won 4 primary states and one of those was his own with less than 50
% of the vote.

He just does not have that appeal , regardless of the 5 or 6 usual posters on here on every thread claiming he is the best guy .

I see it the same way. It’s getting so messy, so nasty, I want nothing to do with it. The establishment is using everybody.

We all voted for McCain. Romney too. But we held our nose as we did so.

With Romney, millions of republicans just did not vote -then we got the Kenyan again.

self-pinging myself to your comment so I can refer back to it for additional evidence of how bat sh!t crazy some of you trumpeters are. Just know in your blood lust...some of us will be shooting back. And mine will not be in defense of any man. Mine will be in defense of the country I swore an oath to protect against your type. Good day, sir.

I know of 3 freepers who were recently against the establishment and were always saying how cruz is anti establishment and they were proud of that.

Now the sad or pathetic part is that those 3 freepers are repeating the establishment talking points all day every day on nearly every thread.

“If Trump can’t figure out the primary process and win it, should he lead the country? No.”

Wrong answer!

This is about us, not Trump.

Donald Trump had every right to expect and think, as did we who voted for him, that if he won the votes, he (we) won the delegates!

This is about our rights, not his.

How dare you!

Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders have exposed the immoral and corrupt primary process in both parties (since evidently on our side, we are slow learners, and the selection of Mitt Romney was not enough to demonstrate this to us.) They have shown that the way these primaries are conducted is a rigged and dishonest pretense to trick the people into believing they have a voice while in fact ensuring that a corrupt group of insiders maintain their power.

The fact that Donald Trump is being cheated and defrauded by this dishonest and fraudulent process does not mean that he does not have the executive skills necessary to successfully run a large multifaceted organization such as this country — obviously he does, much more so than any candidate presently running with the exception of John Kasich who is the governor of a large state.

What you are saying is nonsense. What Trump is fighting is is a very dishonest and dishonorable process, not a process that should ever be a part of the process of a country of a free self-governed people who are choosing who shall represent them in the selection of their party’s nomination for the chief executive of their representative republic.

What you ought to be, is alarmed and horrified about this wicked process! And grateful that Trump is exposing it! And sickened that Cruz is exploiting it. And demanding that it be changed! And demanding that you (even though a Cruz supporter) that the members of this party who prefer other candidates not be disenfranchised, ever! And that the corrupt party leadership who think themselves the rulers of the party, rather than administrators who are chosen and paid to provide services for the party and for the party’s candidates, step down immediately! And removed if they won’t!

He can be the winner because he would have won the majority of delegates had the other two candidates dropped out when they couldn't win as historically occurred in all of the other primaries.

Running just to stop the front runner from getting the required majority to force a convention fight goes against the spirit of the primaries.

That's not really a great way to win is it?

No, it's not. That there would be the slimeball's way of "winning". It is also precisely why I WILL NOT vote for sCruz if that's how he's gotta "win".

If Cartel Cruz can not win the vote of the people in state after state and in the delegate race too, that reflects the EARNED delegates, should he lead the country.

No.

Cruz has to steal delegates to even hold the delegate count he has. They are not EARNED delegates. They are frauds posing as TRUMP delegates.

Fraud is not a virtue. Fraud is a form of theft, deception and a lie from the pit of Hell.

Just say, “Amen”, and “it’s God’s work”. That is what all good Cruzaders say and do to prop the b@$t@^d up.

Much to my disappointment Cruz stepped aside in Florida and Ohio to give the hometown guys a shot at winning their states.

He hardly campaigned in those states. Much like trump in Colorado and several other states.

He didn’t whine about losing though.

Donald Trump has garnered about two million more votes than Ted Cruz.

Percentage-wise, that's 30% more votes than Cruz's total.

It's clear who the voters' preference is.

Only by relying on the GOPe, and adopting it's tactics and propaganda, has Ted Cruz been able to prop his campaign up.

Cruz is the furthest thing from an outsider at this point. He's accepted endorsements from people who despise him, and he has hired Neil friggin' Bush for his finance team. Cruz has alligned himself with the traitorous Mitt Romney.

It just goes on and on.

Look how Ted Cruz did in swing states like FL and OH: 17% in Florida, 13% in Ohio!

At this point, are you seriously trying to convince people that Ted Cruz is a viable national candidate?

Whether it's popular vote, key states, voter enthusiasm, outside status, or demographic factors, Ted Cruz just can't get it done.

My God! A blind man could see this with a cane...

Are you still whining because they won't just quit and let Trump win by default?

Well, look at it this way: If a majority of REPUBLICANS can’t support Trump, how in the world does he win the general?
