Serious Question for Cruz Supporters (VANITY)
04/14/2016 | Les Dowrey

Posted on 04/14/2016 12:42:16 PM PDT by LesDowrey

If Ted Cruz were to win the GOP Nomination on the 2nd ballot or further down the line, he will have won the GOP nomination based on STOPPING Trump, not SUPPORTING Ted. That's not really a great way to win is it? Also, if he couldn't beat Trump at the ballot box, how will he beat Hillary?

He didn’t really campaign there not because he was being nice, but because he saw the writing on the wall.

“I think stopping Trump would be a tremendous win for the country.”

I think stopping foreigners from becoming president is a tremendous win for the country, don’t you?

If Trump can’t figure out the primary process and win it, should he lead the country? No.

What a load of crap. No other candidate could have withstood tens of millions of dollars of ads run by the GOPe donors against him or all the other shenanigans Cruz and the establishment are pulling to try to take delegates away from him.

An establishment-approved candidate would have been anointed and coasting to victory a month ago after all the other candidates had dropped out.

We can only hope and pray that Trump doesn’t betray us. And hope and pray that he can do even half of what he promises.

I personally don’t trust him. He’s a snake oil salesman/populist who bullies people with his New York Values. That, and the fact he’s no conservative. The only saving grace here is that at least he won’t suck as bad as Obama or Hillary.

I hope.

Do you think Cruz is obligated to support Trump getting delegates.

You did not get my post at all but that figures. Cruz really should already be out of this thing when he needed so much of the remaining delegates to win the nomination outright. But with the corrupt GOP establishment's help (really manipulations), Cruz has been able to somewhat creep in it but it is still almost an impossible task, especially with New York and the Northeast coming up.

Once so many of you humble yourselves and realize that Ted Cruz is NOT the principled conservative he pretends to be, then all will be clear.

Do you really think Trumps campaign hasn't been floating the dough? I mean really?

Trumps been in the political ‘pay to play game his entire life, well learned from his father who did likewise, do you think that's just stopped because he's running for President? Come on!!!

What you and others want to call a rigged system , which there is one and more in ‘every’ business, industry, institute and organization in this country, up and down every political charged issue and deal made, yet you don't consider that this process might have also been introduced to prevent demagogues and ruthless characters from the Presidency????

Perhaps it's been we've been so naive to think we're still a republic when in fact it's been operating as a democracy or at the least those who can manipulate it so.????

Do you realize the Wall St cronies are getting together to discuss best ways to help Ted Cruz soon?

If you Cruz supporters are successful, it’s “Meet the new boss, same as the old boss”.

When are some of you going to realize Ted Cruz isn’t the principled conservative he pretends to be? None of what has developed from his campaign has been principled nor conservative. SMH

JMO - a majority is more than half.

Trump has 743 delegates

Cruz has 545, Kasich 143, a total of 688.

More than half.

He’s after the ‘power’ of the Presidency and the revenue sources of the taxpayers.........he’s on the band wagon of redistributing wealth and human capital Internationally....that’s why he will have the “big Door” in his fence to continue bringing in “human capital” , and why he will insist wages lower, so that as he brings his business ventures, and the other oligarchs their businesses, into this country.

As Trump said....”everyone will have the opportunity to “work to the top”.....he didn’t say Americans.

The question you pose is nonsensical.

By Lincoln winning the nomination on the third ballot against Seward who had the plurality but not a majority on the earlier two ballots was the will of the regional forces sending delegates over turned and Lincoln not due the nomination?

The convention is a process, a hill to be won. Whoever wins, wins. There will be disappointments and hard feelings. We learn from childhood the evaluate the level of competitive injustices, and rejoin the ball game in most cases. We remember those that can't as never really caring about the team in the first place.

I don’t know about that. Trump is one helluva fighter and he seems to be attracting a lot of voters from both sides of the aisle who are not so happy with the status quo.

Fox News believes Trump will have the magic number by May. Why do I say that? Ailes made Kelley go crawling on her knees and she said “I hope to get him on my show for an interview in May”. Trump would not commit.

Early on Trump won because 16 people were splitting the other than trump vote. Trumps mouth has caused him to lose support in some of the states he won. That”s why he’s worried about delegates leaving him. It wouldn’t had mattered if it was Cruz or any of the other candidates ahead of him. Cruz just had done the hard work over a year ago, so Cruz must be destroyed. It could have been Walker, Rubio or Carson. People hate his bullying, threatening people, arrogance and lack of class.

I know people who were all in with trump and as time went by they went elsewhere. They can say people are voting against trump, but he did it to himself. Trump is so damaged he’ll never beat Hillary. There’s a list somewhere of all the people he threatened, insulted, lied about, used....not to mention what we know of his personal life. You can bet Hillary will go there. We don’t have to use national enquirer lies’ to find it.

Its amazing how trump supporters can overlook the truth we know about trump and believe or make up lies about Cruz.

Wish they could stand back for a minute and ask themselves if trump or this country is more important. Hope they don’t tell me that Donald’s going to make this country great again or only he can beat Hillary. He has turned many decent, kind people into hateful mini trumps and lots of innocent people have experienced their rage. Some trump supporters debate issues, most imitate trump and intimidate and name call and lose it. Go to any political blog where Cruz is mentioned. Decency is out the window. Even Christian sites. Plus he can’t get over 40% of total republicans.

Wonder if anyone ever thought that delegate were created in case a candidate implodes in the middle of a primary? It’s a safety net so we don’t to go though the motions with a candidate who blew it early and will never win. Delegates know this. But don’t ask their names because they need protection these days, but most likely have a conceal carry. It’s scary and really sad.

And your kind of rhetoric - at least I hope it’s only rhetoric - exposes the reason many of us are concerned about a Trump presidency.

I follow Christ, not any man.

I am willing to fight and die for my country but that doesn’t have anything to do with a presidential candidate, no matter who he is.

Be careful there, Ms. Snarly.

You’re in territory where facts are barren.

You’re looking at the wrong campaign and it’s not necessarily about money.
