This is probably the last best chance for Ovie and Holtby and company. Let’s... Go... Caps!!!!
hopefully not the last, but certainly the best. wish it wasn’t the flyers. my son in law is a huge flyers fan and my daughter a huge caps fan. we had a caps-flyers themed wedding a year and a half ago. my little 10 mo grandson has both caps and flyers jerseys. this is going to be HARD bc none of us are casual fans!
Dallas Stars - ALL THE WAY!!
Roger that. 2010, 2013, 2015. Don't forget, my college team, the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux won the national championship in hockey. I am not politically correct, so they will always be the Sioux, and never the Hawks. 🏒
GO RED WINGS!! GET THAT TWELFTH STANLEY!!
We sneaked in but got matched up against the Bolts, just like last year, who knocked us out in the first round. With all the injuries the Bolts are suffering, we may have a better chance to advance this year. Here's hoping to go nose to nose with your PENS another time this year, Airborne!
Please place me on the ping list. Thank you.
Love my Wings. I am not sure how well they will play since they seem to have the weakest coach in decades. I sure hope they pull it out especially since I paid all that money for the Center Ice package and only got to see about ten games due to my work schedule.
Please don’t disparage my jackass Rangers. After all they have won a cup since 1940. They may even win another one in my lifetime.
I am a lifelong Caps fan. Several years ago, I had a college friend move to the area and start rooting for the Caps. We often go to games together. I told him it was the worst mistake he could make. He didn’t believe me at first, but after the last few years of losing to the Rangers in game 7’s; he now knows what being a Caps fan is really like.
Go Wild
I disagree. I’ve read stories that without the Canadian teams in the playoffs, viewership could drop off as much as 75% or higher compared to last year, when five Canadian teams were in the playoffs. That much a viewership drop could be financially disastrous for Rogers Communications, who paid for fortune (by Canadian standards) for NHL broadcast rights in Canada.
We have had season tickets for a long time now. This year feels different, doesn’t it? I mean Barry Trotz is fantastic, I think they like him and are working for him to the best of their ability. I actually met a few of the Caps bc my chiropractor is on their staff, and I met both Orpik and Burakovsky at the chiro ofc. My chiro is great and introduced me, both very nice guys.
Still hard to believe that no Canadian team made the playoffs.
I like the balance on the team this year. Offense has always been great, but the goal-tending and defense has really improved with Niskanen, Orpik, Carlson, Alzner, and of course Holtby.
Hockey players are always the nicest pro athletes to meet outside of the arena. I grew up close to the old training facility in Odenton, Md and we would see the Caps in the neighborhood and they were always very approachable. Scott Stevens even came to my elementary school many many years ago. I still have my signed puck.
Welcome to the party!
The ratings will be yuge in Chicago. Rogers will survive the playoff drought.
UND Fighting Sioux. My fave college team.
