Popular Dallas food reporter Stacy Fawcett has died, PEOPLE confirms.

In a statement obtained by PEOPLE, the Plano Police Department confirmed that Fawcett, 45, and her son Josiah Utu, 17, both suffered fatal stab wounds early Friday when Fawcett's eldest son 19-year-old McCann Utu Jr. attacked the pair before stabbing himself.

After the incident, a male suspect contacted police, telling the 911 operator that he had committed murder. Officers were then dispatched to the home in Plano, Texas – a suburb 20 miles north of Dallas – where they "made entry into the residence and discovered a deceased adult male and adult female along with another adult male who was alive with multiple stab wounds."

Concussive injuries can result in anger issues, this is a sad event.

I opened this thread with information about those injuries to lessen premature conclusions, and engender investigation, not to start a fistfight.

The doj stats don’t lie. White women fare far, far worse in mixed relationships than with white men. They are at far greater risk of physical violence and murder with black men versus white men.

Of course exceptions exist. That does not mean the general trend isn’t real.

You can thank LBJ and the "war on poverty" for that. The Democrats have never wanted blacks to have equal opportunity, and when their overtly racist policies were stopped by Republicans, they had to turn to other ways to keep blacks down. So they use toxic culture... anyway, enough said on that, because that subject deserves a thread of its own.

That is completely false; races do not perform equally under equal circumstances. Staggering disparities in IQ, for one, would preclude that.

You do not contend, do you, that all races are perfectly equal and alike in all things?

From all I’ve read and seen both professionally and personally, I believe the biggest contributing factor is upbringing-nurture rather than nature-culture has a bit to do with it, but not much unless the people choose not to assimilate-think muslims and their “culture” with its condemnation and avoidance of all non-muslim culture and belief-and my parents always told me that in 50 years we would have LBJ’s programs to thank in large part for the breakdown of society-they were right...

My ancestry is Hispanic/Latino, but most of those ancestors had come to what is now Texas before 1800-I’d say we are assimilated-we have a few cultural specifics, but we are just ordinary Americans, even to learning Spanish as a second language in childhood-that is common to W/SW border area Texans of all ethnicities and colors...

The article states that the older son, who killed his mother and his younger brother, then killed himself. Brain damage due to concussion sure seems to be the cause, though an autopsy might reveal more.

Statistically they are committing more crimes in the U.S., apparently. However is this genetic? Obviously crime is not genetic.

I think they are cultural problems in the black family - the highest number of single mother homes for example - but it’s not because of the amount of melatonin within somebody.

Get the family situation straightened out and the crime rate will go way down. Bleach not necessary. . . .

Go to Council of Conservative Citizens website. They quote, frequently and extensively, crime statistics by race; and certain groups (how’s that for being nice) have higher crime stats than certain other groups ALL OVER THE WORLD.

Again, why do blacks have more single mothers than whites? Single mothers is the cause? What causes that? What is the rate of single motherhood in Africa or England for whites vs. blacks vs. Hispanics vs. Chinese, vs Russians, etc.

Do you contend, as do ALL leftists and liberals, that all races are exactly equal and alike in all cases and in all circumstances?

We do hyperbaric chamber therapy for my son who's on the high functioning end of the autism spectrum. The owner, who completed his doctorate researching the therapy for ASD, also has a lot of concussion patients. I've overheard them talking to the doc, and their stories all include bouts of anger. The owner is now researching hyperbaric therapy and concussions because he's seen such great results.

LBJ’s keep-them-on-that-plantation programs may have been available for everyone when I was a teen-but by the time idealistic little me had a degree in social work and a job at MHMR in 1973, they were not just given to those with a certain income-your ethnicity and race was a huge factor-caseworkers like me were directed to give bennies to Black single moms first, period.

After them came Hispanic/Latino single mothers, and Anglo moms were at the end of the line. We were also told to especially encourage the Black women to blow off working and take the welfare payments-not so much Latinos or Anglos-they were encouraged to go to work and even offered training at one of the local vocational schools.

Now, all these years later a 3d generation of those welfare moms is still on the dem plantation, just as planned-thanks, LBJ...

I left in disgust in 1982 to go to work in the private sector, and after awhile I ended up as a workers comp case manager for a company that provided services to insurance companies and employers-by 2003, the whining 35-40% of clients got to me-hence, here I am-poor but working happily in construction...
