He was meant to retire some time in March and is doing interviews with movers and shakers instead.
Call 911.
Became irrelavent with advent of Cruz, Trump - neither a favorite
Among the brighter lights, along with Liddy, Sowell, Buckley, Rusher, etc. They’re dying off and we’re left with limpdicks like Scarborough, Beck, etc.
What I’d heard was that the new lineup at Salem stations (but not all of them) would put Hugh Hewitt in mornings in the Bennett slot with Larry Elder taking the evening slot, and Bennett would still be around for commentaries. Due to start tomorrow I believe.
The show ended last week Friday (with Mark Davis filing in as always on Friday-— Thursday last week was Bill’s last day.)
Hewitt replacing him.
Thursday March 31st.
Hugh Hewitt moved back East to take up the helm at that time slot Monday morning April 4th.

>>Hugh Hewitt, famous for co-moderating some of those highly rated GOP presidential debates of late, is getting a plum morning drive time for his nationally syndicated radio show on the East Coast, but relegated to 3 a.m.-6 a.m. at his home base at KRLA AM in Los Angeles.
Hewitt’s move from nighttime radio in about a week is part of a revamp in the schedule at KRLA, one of the top conservative radio channels in the country, and more broadly at parent company Salem Media Group’s radio division.
The changes have Larry Elder joining the permanent lineup live from 6 to 9 p.m. on the East Coast and at the same time via tape-delay on the West Coast.
Elder, a 25-year veteran of talk radio, is perhaps known best for routinely ripping the entertainment industry for what he considers a liberal bias, though he still manages to attract some of the industry’s progressives as guests to talk politics on his show, including Cher and Bill Maher. He also battled MSNBC’s Chris Matthews on his show for 15 minutes once, and the audio later went viral on the Internet.
William Bennett, the former U.S. Secretary of Education who has hosted a national Salem Radio Network show for more than a decade, will become “host emeritus,” showing up only sporadically for specials and such.
The shake-up won’t affect the Los Angeles KRLA morning crew that pits liberal Brian Whitman against conservatives Ben Shapiro and former Sean Hannity staffer Elisha Krauss.
OLD BILL will be 73 in July...was past time to retire..
You forgot to mention the also irrelevant Medved, and the unlistenable Levin.
Pay no attention to the Ryno....
Mar 31 or Apr 1 was his last day.
Bill Bennett was actually very fair to Trump, and very good on the issue of the muslim invasion of Europe. I will miss him.
#8 liberal Brian Whitman interrupts the others and stops them when they want to reply to inane comments. He says he will vote for Hillary Clinton.
I think he wants to just so he can do his bad impersonation of Bill Clinton.
They should remove him and bring in someone with sense.
“The shake-up wont affect the Los Angeles KRLA morning crew that pits liberal Brian Whitman against conservatives Ben Shapiro and former Sean Hannity staffer Elisha Krauss.”
RNC RINO butt-boy Hugh Hewitt (Switzerland, my ass) you mean.
Gave up on Bill after several returns.
Worstvsound engineer in all of radio. He goes so low heccant be heard.
Then there is his shill for paul ryan
won’t bother me...
I don’t follow Hughie...or Bill any longer, I did listen to Bill when he was on others shows, but never listened to his show...always had chores to do, more important to me.
No use for Bill Bennett whatsoever ever since he was in a Republican administration and advocated for an assault weapons ban. He can make his living diving in dumpsters as far as I’m concerned.
