I am curious as to what people think the duties and responsibilities of The President Of The United States are.

To give you free health insurance, female contraceptives, taxpayer funded college, home mortgages, gas in your tank, and unlimited abortions. Any other duty as laid out in Article II of the constitution is a soon to be banished remnant of the oppressive patriarchal racists who wrote the dern thing.

To listen to the campaigns, they are the source of legislation.

Hmmmm ..?? The Constitution clearly outlines the “duties” of the President of the United States.

All you have to do is read them.

However, most people under 30 have never been taught “The Constitution”, and therefore, have no idea what it says.

How come parents weren’t paying attention ..??????

If you want to find an easy source, check out the Rush Limbaugh books for children - they are a wonderful resource. Parents should demand them in their schools.

Art. I Sec 7

If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the same shall be a Law, in like manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its return, in which case it shall not be a Law.

If it does not become law, it is because of a pocket veto and can't be overridden. Congress has procedures in place to prevent pocket vetoes.

If he shared in surviving polio, perhaps he couldn’t have caused as much mischief. Having a bout with a fatal illness tends to remove the last vestige of youthful arrogance.
