The Trump logic is funny. On the one hand you guys try to paint Cruz as carrying the water for the GOPe. On the other hand, Cruz can’t wind because the establish hates his guts.

LOL. You guys contradict yourselves on FR to suit the argument you want to make. Cruz is either an outsider or not. Be consistent Trump guys. If your new argument is the establish hates Cruz, than Cruz can’t be one of them. Just saying.

It's not a contradiction but to understand the position we're in today requires some critical thinking. Try to keep up. Cruz is being used as a tool to stop Trump. Period. He's being USED. He's NOT their choice for the nomination and he never will be. He's just a disposable instrument of obstruction.

No, we don’t. The GOPe hate Cruz, but they’re more than willing to use him to cause a contested convention. At which time, they’ll chuck Cruz aside like a cheap Trollope, and install their preferred candidate.

Just like the press does with guys like McCain....oh, he’s a different kind of Republican, he’s a moderate, he’s electable, he’s a maverick. Then once he gets nominated, they turn on him.

You’re fooling yourself if you think Cruz is getting over on the establishment. He’s Mr. Establishment, until they’re done with him.

For all those carrying the water and attacking the Threat to Soros, MSM, Democrats and Establishment globalists please use common sense. Clinton has paid for people to protest Trump, So has Bernie,so has the Establishment and the MSM is 24/7 trying to destroy him. Soros is funding one of his GOP opponents. THEY WOULD NOT DO THAT IF HE WAS ONE OF THEM.

Do they do that with each other or your guy? No. So stop buying the lies hes one of them, you are being used by what you claim to be fighting against.

BJI: If your new argument is the establish hates Cruz, than Cruz can’t be one of them. Just saying.

I'm not saying he's one of them. I'm saying that Cruz has no chance to win the nomination on the first ballot. So his only hope is that he will win in an open convention.

From his point of view the open convention give him some hope of ending up the nominee. A Trump victory in the delegate race gives him no hope.

So, in desperation, he's decided to play the spoiler and force the open convention.

The GOP Establishment fully supports the Open Convention, and appreciate Ted Cruz in his role as spoiler, while still not actually liking the guy or wanting him to be President.

Look at Romney - he tells people in different states to vote for Cruz or Kasich as purely a tactic to deny Trump. He could care less about either of them. There are a lot of GOP Establishment types doing the same.

Even Cruz doesn't think these are real supporters of his, or that they will continue to support him once he's served his purpose of denying Trump a first ballot victory.

The media are campaigning 24/7 against Trump. This isn't a coincidence.

Lets be honest. Cruz was never the “outsider” he proclaimed himself to be. An outsider wouldn't allow such distinguished people as Lindsey Graham, Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney, and Carly Fiorina into his campaign. In addition, I'm fairly sure Karl Rove is on-board as well.

Seeing that the above folks are all part of the establishment, they wouldn't want an actual Conservative as the nominee.

That's not a contradiction.

That’s right, the establishment dislikes cruz on the personal level. You notice none of them rallied to Cruz until he was the last possible choice. The only reason they are doing it now is to stop Trump from getting 1237. He is being used like a tool to achieve their goal, that is all.

“On the one hand you guys try to paint Cruz as carrying the water for the GOPe. On the other hand, Cruz can’t win because the establish hates his guts.”

If you’ve followed Cruz with an unbiased eye, it’s plain as day that he’s a water boy for the establishment. Lofty words are one thing, but deeds are quite another. It’s his deeds that tell the truth of who and what he really is.

The reason Ted Cruz has failed to capture the lead in this race, is because most right leaning voters have graded him on his actions, and have found him to be wanting. It has nothing to do with whether or not the old bulls in the establishment “hate” him. The fact is, they’ve gathered to his side because, ultimately, he believes what they believe, and can be trusted to forward their globalist agenda.
