The Cruz Comments On "Backing Over Trump" in Context
Vanity | 3/31/2016 | self

Posted on 03/31/2016 10:35:47 AM PDT by conservativejoy

Since this news story made the sidebar here on FR, I decided to provide some context to the remarks that have garnered so much interest.

I just view my DVR tape of the Jimmy Kimmel Show last night. Just prior to Senator Cruz coming on was a segment on cool April Fools jokes that could be played on friends.

One of the jokes was to duct tape a Freddie Kruger action figure to someone's rear view camera. The guy demonstrating also said that a picture could be used as well. He held up a picture of Donald Trump.

Cruz was just continuing the joke by referencing that previous segment.

Meanwhile, irresponsible "journalists" are ignorantly or deliberately reporting this joke out of context as being a serious comment. Typical.

That’s not what he said and you know it. Have you tRump supporters also lost your hearing along with you minds?

I don’t know for sure about Cruz. Maybe he actually means well, but comes off as obnoxious and arrogant. Maybe his advisors are feeding him bad advice. Picking up GOP backers isn’t going well for him to say the least.

If I was him, I would ditch all of the GOP lackeys on his campaign, and focus on his original message.

OK, lets’ get the party really started!:

I call upon all REBELS to remember that Donald Trump is a friggin’ YANKEE from New Yawk with New Yawk values!

ROFL

GO CRUZ! GO TRUMP if CRUZ loses!

Does this mean that I shall be attacked by both sides? From TRUMP supporters? From CRUZ supporters? From YANKESS? From REBELS? What a dilemma! No one will know who to attack or why! ;-)

Please try to remember, Conservatives: We should be in this together! We should NOT be trying to tear each other nor our candidates apart!

That’s actually a fairly good paraphrase

However, go to #24 on this thread to see my intent

I bet you thought it was “real cool” when Lindsey Graham joked about killing Sen. Cruz.>p>It was never funny. It did, however, highlight that Cruz is being used by the GOPe and they will dump him for their chosen candidate just as soon as Cruz prevents Trump from getting the 1237.

The real phony is Donald Trump who has held completely opposite positions on every important issue before he decided to run for President as a Republican.

Donald Trump in his Own Words!

I guess he had to 'evolved' if he was going to portray himself as Republican & Conservative.

I’m very capable of changing to anything I want to change to,” the real estate mogul said.

Since you love the law.....

Title XLVI, Chapter 776.012 governs “Use of force in defense of person”:

A person is justified in using force, except deadly force, against another when and to the extent that the person reasonably believes that such conduct is necessary to defend himself or herself or another against the other’s imminent use of unlawful force. However, a person is justified in the use of deadly force and does not have a duty to retreat if:

(1) He or she reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the imminent commission of a forcible felony; or

(2) Under those circumstances permitted pursuant to s. 776.013. . . . 776.013 (3) A person who is not engaged in an unlawful activity and who is attacked in any other place where he or she has a right to be has no duty to retreat and has the right to stand his or her ground and meet force with force, including deadly force if he or she reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the commission of a forcible felony.

Since we've established that SHE was assaulting Trump (twice asked not to touch him, unwanted touch, same standard Corey is charged with), then.....

"A person is justified in using force, except deadly force, against another when and to the extent that the person reasonably believes that such conduct is necessary to defend himself or herself or another against the other’s imminent use of unlawful force."

I am hoping the north east saves trump. I think they will. 95 will put trump at 850. He may lose Wisconsin but I am hoping Kasick takes enough from Cruz that trump can squeak it out. 5 days is an eternity in politics.

Okay.

That is some rabid devotion you have there. Close to GOPe/DNC territory.

Apparently, Cruz supporters have some real thin skin and insecurity issues. Or is that just you?

Maybe you should have waited for a follow up reply before laying judgement.

Cruz has good qualities. I think he’s getting bad advice from bad people, and he’s letting criticism get under his skin. You can’t let that happen.

It’s attitudes like yours that turn people off to candidates.

Cruz is gathering the troops in Cali today. I hope Trump doesn't take the state for granted.

Praying for Trump to get to 1237 and no contested convention! The will of the people!

Saying women who have abortions are victims.....lol.

I'm guessing you never impregnated a woman and then told her to go take a hike. Guess what? Not everyone is like you. More on how abortion victimizes women:
“I never said yes. I never said no,” Jessica said of her abortion. “I never had any kind of response during those couple of days because I felt that I really had no choice.” When at the abortion clinic, Jessica said she received very little substantive counseling or screening. “Even though I was only 14 years old, I was never asked any kind of questions to screen for coercion, to see if I was there because I knew what was going on, because I wanted it to go on. I was only 14-years-old and I was never asked any questions about whether I was there as a victim of rape or incest.” “My tax dollars and your tax dollars go to this evil organization. That has to end now. And, I’m so thankful for these videos to be coming out and showing the truth.” — Jessica Schuessler

Jessica said she cried throughout her brief counseling session at the clinic and throughout her abortion. Despite this, no one at the clinic asked her any questions about whether she wanted to continue with the procedure. “My experience of the abortion industry,” Jessica said, “is that they are calloused and cold. Even though Cecile Richards would like to say that they are compassionate and loving people, that has not been my experience. My experience has been what was on those videos, completely calloused and evil.” Jessica said she struggled for years with anger and grief from her abortion. She said her baby’s father did also and actually died in April from a heroine overdose.

Thank you conservativejoy for trying to shed some light on the murky reporting of this event. I for one appreciate knowing what was said in context and not just the sound byte.

Beyond your post the resulting sewer backup into the FR kitchen is notable. To me it provides a new level of understanding into the minds of the self convinced. Those who are convinced Cruz is a ________ and a __________ and a __________ will not change their minds no matter what is said or what happens.

Like wise the people that believe Trump is a ________ and a ________ and _________ are sure they have Trump pegged for a ____________

Now I understand how someone like Hillary with her baggage of lies and more lies will probably win in November. The democrats don’t care because she is one of their own. And they will spend their time productively poisoning the water left unpoisoned by what ever crippled candidate the Republicans put forward.

In the meantime democrats are switching parties in order to vote for Trump in the primaries because they know Hillary has a better chance of beating the bumbling Trump than Cruz. And the trumpbots think Dems are coming over in droves. Wait for the shock in November. Sadly our country & culture will pay a crushing price for Hillary in 2016.

I have impregnated one woman four times. I promise you that their are no other little napscoordinator kiddies out there. I would be honored to swear that, on the Bible. And if I were running for president, and I was asked have you cheated on your wife. I would state unequivocally and proudly that I have not cheated on my wife at all in my soon to be (in April) 20 year marriage. I don’t think that is difficult at all. It is a dang shame Cruz refuses to do the same.

I’ve been leaving you alone, because you are probably in a lot of pain for the last little while. But I had to check in today to say, “Girl, please!”

Even you can’t justify stooping this low.

I was not insinuating there were any little unwanted naps kiddies around. I hope that was clear.

I was addressing the issue of women being victims of abortion. You LOLed about that, but it's true; many are victims too.
