In the critical early days of September 2008, after Sarah Palin was nominated as the Republican Party's candidate for Vice President, the National Enquirer ran a cover story alleging that the Alaska governor had an adulterous affair.
Palin, and Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign, immediately and unequivocally denied the story. "The smearing of the Palin family must end," said McCain campaign manager Steve Schmidt, as quoted at the time. "The allegations contained on the cover of the National Enquirer insinuating that Gov Palin had an extramarital affair are categorically false. It is a vicious lie. The efforts of the media and tabloids to destroy this fine and accomplished public servant are a disgrace. The American people will reject it." The campaign also threatened legal action.
(That was a textbook example of how to shut down a media rumor)

I just know it is out there and makes him look whiny like Obama blaming Bush for everything. Those of us who don’t like Obama see through it, but ask any Obama supporter and they believe his Bush comments completely despite facts. Just like despite Rubio’s group putting out the story Cruzers believe Cruz’ Trump accusations.

The story focused on the lady (who had been a high school cheerleader). I wanted to know more about the fellow she married so I googled (startpage actually, I don't do google) his name. I forgot where it took me, but eventually it was a CBS story.
Now I believe you are right, except I have a add on program (called Click&Clean) on my computer (running IceDragon which is a Firefox based browser) the kills all cookies as I browse the net. I frequently make sure I have little to no cookies for a history for ad providers to use.

Not a single one of these targeted women has substantiated a solitary thread of that smear as true.
My point — and this thread bolsters it — is that the National Enquirer, which vociferously endorsed Donald Trump and is led by a very close friend of Trump, was the only “media” outlet that published this smear piece. That Cruz hasn’t gone public with plans to take legal action — yet — is completely unrelated to guilt or innocence.
Ditto for the lion's share of those "crossover" voters in the primaries.

I bet the NE owner has many friends again unsubstantiated comment on your part. I did not say I know whether or not story is true. The way it is being handled by Cruz is not doing anything thing to make him look like his has class.
He is a whiner and has no more proof that Trump did anything than we have about the NE story. Carpenter’s tweets are more substantial than Trump is friend with whoever and both are conjure as to proving anything.
