I actually use a push mower. Good exercise.

Mmmmm, no paragraphs. It didn’t look that way when I was typing. Sorry about that.

So you get snow in the winter where you live? I have been mowing my lawn for over a month now. One one of the down sides to living in paradise.

That's the second lawnmower thread this week!

Now, go find a spark plug socket that fits your spark plug. (After you're done, label it, 'mower socket' so you don't spend 15 minutes next year finding one that fits.)

Heck, I though everyone had spark plug sockets in their tool box. Well, them what's got tool boxes, that is.

I only run ethanol free marine gas in my mower. Costs more but worth it. I also add STA-BIL to it.

Thanks. Spring is time for lawnmower start up and a few html paragraphs in postings are everybody's friends. Just put < p > in all the right spots as you compose, then preview to check your work.

Cheers!

I disassembled/reassembled a Briggs & Stratton in HS shop. I thought it was going to be a stupid exercise - it wasn’t. Hands-on fundamentals learning lasts a lifetime in ways you’d never expect. Had my heart in my mouth when we finally started her up - and cheered when it worked! LOL

I’ve got two tool chests, and about two dozen spark plug sockets.

...I hope this is helpful to those of you, like me, who mow your own dam lawn.

Well, I don't do the lawn thingie...but I printed this out and gave it to my wife.

I'm sure she'll appreciate it.

Ping me when you do the "repair" post...it seems like that damned mower is broke down every weekend, when the lawn needs mowing the most.

Or better yet, can I give my wife your email addy and she can just ask you directly about all that and leave me the hell alone?

These days doing a ring and valve job on a small engine costs more than replacing it due to the high cost of parts and labor.

Northeast Indiana. Lazy swine that I am, I don’t mow until the neighbors start mowing and they just started.
I have done first crabgrass and fertilizer application.

My riding mower will not start. I have a new battery and a new solenoid. What should i ceck next? Its a troybilt with b & Stratton engine. When i turn the key, nothing happens. I suspect something electrical. I have a volt meter/tester(?) if that would help.
