I have been racking my brain trying to come up with an instance when the accusation was made, and it was false. I can’t think of one.
Of course, always difficult to prove a negative...but I don’t remember anyone really trying THAT hard to prove such an accusation as false, let alone, actually convincing the public.

He should have just continued being a Senator, and doing the conservative thing there. He could keep having his cake and eating it too.

You know something? What you say is true. When has there been a sex scandal about a politician that wasn’t true? Trump’s, not a politician, was so far transparent and in the open that how in the heck would he get away with it? If they had something on him, the girls would be lined up like they are for Cosby. fact is, I really think Trump, the guy who should have had affair after affair, has had none. REason, I don’t think he’s ever had a self esteem problem. Were any of his wives to be married when he courted them?
But look over the years. The Senator from Colorado that had the affair, the New York mayor, the Republican speaker of the house, actually three times?, Anthony Weiner, although Weiner didn’t do the nasty. Then you have Edwards. The whole time, at least on the democrat side people denied denied.
If Carpenter had an affair with Cruz, not just a crush, then this is way past them all, and tells me that it’s the norm.
I still think Trump is in a loving relationship, his third, and is the most moral for president.
