Video (2:16) at link.

This robot has the most realistic facial expressions I've yet seen. Just imagine this technology in 20 years.

Dr. Kathleen Richardson claims that men will prefer the robots and that real women will become obsolete.

True? Or would those women (and men) who have issues become more appealing/pleasant/polite/considerate out of necessity?

2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the Zeroth or First Laws. 3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the Zeroth, First, or Second Laws.

“The USS Enterprise encounters a probe named Nomad. Although originally launched from Earth for peaceful exploration, after colliding with an alien probe it has reprogrammed itself to find and sterilize imperfection.

The starship is unable to destroy the probe. Nomad, however, mistakes Enterprise Captain James T. Kirk for its creator, Jackson Roykirk, and allows itself to be brought aboard.

After Nomad kills and injures several crew members, Kirk is able to convince the probe it is imperfect, as it mistook Kirk for Roykirk. Consistent with its altered programming the probe commences “sterilizing” (destroying) itself. The Enterprise crew safely transports Nomad into space before it explodes.”

So when do we hear them chattering on about “human privilege” or “robot lives matter”?

Looks like a typical liberal.

funny ... I found its facial 'expressions' reminiscent of Hillary Clinton, and its vocal inflections reminiscent of her and of 0bama.

Not me. Asimov added it in Robots and Empire, Foundation and Earth, and Prelude to Foundation. [Yes, I’m an Asimov fan.]
