Ah, just what the planet needs - more “Ted Cruz is the only real conservative!” BS.

To me, neither Limbaugh is stupid. For both of them to be so utterly blind to the fact that their “ideal conservative” doesn’t have the SLIGHTEST chance of winning the general election over a democrat tells me that they’re simply mouthpieces for the Uniparty and don’t CARE of the Republicans win the election or not - unless their bought ‘n’ paid for guy is the candidate, of course.

These talking heads are part of the problem, not the solution.

Stupid article. Which Republicans in Congress are conservative and get things done? The GOPe has shunned conservatives for years. Conservatism is not tolerated by the GOPe. So-called conservatives seem to roll over for Obama, Pelosi, and Reid. We pass Obama’s budget without even a whimper. Trump expands the tent of the GOP - a task the GOPe has failed at accomplishing - and he is shunned, too. It wasn’t long ago Cruz was vilified by the party. Trump is a symptom, not a disease to be eradicated.

I think, as the front runner, Trump has focused on those issues facing our Republic that can be corrected within a 4-year time frame.

We have become who we are through several “socialist” steps. What makes us think that we can walk these steps all at once.

I am a Cruz supporter but we I also understand that we cannot ^swing the pendulum^ all-at-once.

Since National Review and the GOP get to decide who is a conservative and who is not, I think I too will refrain from joining in their exclusive club.

It’s not worth the admission fee for the privilege to be called “conservative”.

Rush must have said "Listen here brother David, if you don't hit Donald Trump hard, I'll never push another of your books!"

And David responded by saying "Of course I will brother ElRushbo, I know how important your connections to Mexico are, I'll do as you command, now let me have some pain killers."

I have some pretty serious concerns about Trump. Yes, I would vote for him over Hillary, but yes, I would far prefer someone like Cruz over him.

If only Cruz hadn't stabbed us all in the back by blaming Donald for the violence, that really bothered me.

Trumpbots dont seem the least bit concerned about Trumps negatives, and thats why I dont like them. But Trump is the tip of the spear in so many fights we have these days, as "ugly" as he might be, the fights he is on our side on, at this time in history, is enough.

I do believe that Trump is conservative on many issues but not all. He is a common sense guy who is like Palin and Coulter on various issues like border security, immigration and trade. I get that there is a string of populism to him. So you could say his policies and platform is one of a common sense populist conservative.

“Conservative” has become a buzzword used by the RNC/GOP to keep people on the reservation much like welfare has been used to keep blacks on the Democrat plantation.

It has lost all meaning when most of those using the word do not want to conserve the nation.
Without a country, what is there left to conserve?

Refusing to uphold the rule of law is not conservative.

Refusing to stop the influx of fraudulently documented foreigners is not conservative.

Refusing to stand with the citizens is not conservative.

It’s getting to the point where I don’t consider myself a conservative anymore when I look around and see how many that do call themselves that are on board The Cheap Labor Express.

There is nothing remotely conservative about anyone unwilling to stand for the rule of law and the citizens.

Without a nation, there’s nothing to conserve.

Donald Trump is unacceptable to "movement conservatives."

Movement conservatives are suicidal and Donald Trump believes in defending the country, its lawful citizens and its borders.

It is well past the time to nit pick about the purity of a label. Action speaks:

Trump will secure the border with the wall and keep out the criminal illegals. This is not racist, this is to protect American citizens (including American citizens of hispanic origin!) from the illegals bringing in heroin, diseases and crime.

Trump will bring back manufacturing jobs and protect American jobs.

Trump is pro second amendment rights.

Trump will nominate a conservative Supreme Court Justice.

These are the bed rock priorities required to save America and must be done this election cycle.

Pointless debate on how “conservative” Trump is, becomes the equivalent of the proverbial “How many angels can dance on the point of pin?”

Irrelevant.

The way I look at it, I don't think it matters about ideology as much as results matter. And as long as the results are moral.

I tend to agree with Trump that Reagan wasn't all that conservative. In today's world, he likely wouldn't pass muster with ideological conservatives. And his record, while better than most, wasn't always purely and ideologically conservative. Reagan also often was a deal maker.

I believe Trump will govern ... randomly.

Which will be a huge improvement for conservatives.

We’ll randomly win half the time, instead of being defeated 100% of the time.
