Best live album ever?
For me and in this order;
The Kinks "One for the road"
Deep Purple "Made in Japan"
I'm looking for more.
Best band name, ever.
Well played.
And, BTW, if you have a girl in your life that may be struggling with herself or what her role may be in your life.
This song will work

And oddly enough this one also works wonders,

This is one of my favorites.
Fleetwood Mac: Eyes of the World
2004 concert in Boston.
MANY different versions were done of this song, Christie McVie
was on at least 3 versions.
This version ROCKS!! Lindsey Buckingham is unique, very talented and overlooked by many. A great live version of this song (headphones required if ya got ‘em!!).

That vid of shine on you crazy diamond was excellent. Thanks
Here is a ten minute jam session with Alex Lifson, Neil Peart and Billy Sheehan from 1980. Geddy was running late for the sound check. Pretty amazing for just “jamming”.

I have the 90’s remastered version and I use it when I’m reviewing audio equipment. It’s so dynamic and powerful it tests the mettle of the hardware.
cheers

Amazing Journey/Sparks from Live at Leeds is one of my all-time favorite musical moments. A guitarist, bassist, drummer, and singer working together as a band at their peak.
Johnny Cash Live at Folsom Prison
Agree, but I am big Tower of Power fan so that album has special meaning for me. How many rock bands can say they were backed by the horn section of one of the worlds greatest soul bands ?
For me it’s “Young Man Blues”, but the Isle of Wight version was absolutely vicious.
My only complaint about “Seconds Out” is they left off “In That Quiet Earth”, which I’ve heard on many of the bootlegs from that era. It was a heck of a way for Steve Hackett to go out, and by far Genesis’ best instrumental jam.
I’ve got to add ‘Jimi Plays Berkeley’ because he was ‘ON FIRE’ that night!!!!
OK, here are my favorites, in roughly chronological order:
Live Cream, Vol. 2 (Great extended jams on some favorites, and “Steppin’ Out” is one of Clapton’s greatest improvs)
11/17/70 (Elton John playing as a trio and just breaking into America)
Queen Live at the Rainbow (Early Queen as they are just reaching stardom in the UK, with Freddie Mercury in perfect vocal form)
Wings Over America (Almost three hours of live Paul McCartney, even if he only plays five Beatle tunes in the set)
Rush: Different Stages (I like the variety of tunes over the course of their career, the complete 2112 live, and the bonus disc of a 1978 show)
I’m sure I’ll think of something else obvious as soon as I hit “send,” but these would be my favorites at the moment.
And I did buy UFO's "Strangers..." after reading this thread...one of the best live albums I've ever heard...
Get Your Ya Ya’s Out.
The Rolling Stones. 1969 Madison Square Garden.
