OMG, Sam!

I loved that crazy man!

My ribs are killing me.

These epic, detailed scenarios are hysterical.

“And THIS is what you considered important? A piece of dry skin or something like that? Listen, ISIS is murdering people, another candidate is being investigated by the FBI, the economy stinks, we have hordes of illegals entering the country to bring murder and mayhem-—and you are focused like a laser on a piece of dry skin, probably from his lip? Just wow.”

Just beats the boogers out of you, doesn’t it!

“Trump and trumpsters, working tirelessly to alienate the remaining 40% of the country,,, brilliant!”

It beats battling boogers.

There was a government shutdown last year? They voted against it, but Cruz did not shutdown the government against PP funding. Once again that shutdown was a few years ago and was done to defund OBAMACARE. So, tell me where I am wrong? My reply was to a poster that said Cruz shutdown the government to stop PP funding. I corrected him.

This is so childish. The media is blathering on about how childish the Republican candidates are acting but in all honesty, it's not just the candidates who are acting this way.

‘Cruz has always been for enforcement, strict immigration laws, and no amnesty.’

Haha!So funny! Cruz was the ONLY senator who teamed with Beck to throw a Foreign Invaders Welcome Party. They handed out free soccer balls and teddy bears to the throng of gang bangers—a crime wave waiting to happen. All Cruz did was let the rest of the foreign invaders know they’d be welcome.

Get real.

‘Would have done great things if we had more like Cruz and fewer GOPe types like Rubio.’

Hahaha! The guy Cruz came right out and said would be an acceptable president—Rubio! You are on a comedy roll. Keep em coming!

Your reply was to me in my comments to another person:

I posted: “I remember when he tried to shut down the government. He did actually for a little while. I remember when he stood alone. I remember when the GOPe did an end run around him to pass a budget with Planned Parenthood funding. I remember when he called the GOPe leader a liar.”

You replied: “He didn’t shutdown the government for PP. That was last year and he did not want it to effect his electability.”

First, where you are very wrong is your claim that he did not shut down the government because it would effect his electability.

Read up on how it actually went down:

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2015/09/senators-have-had-it-with-ted-cruzs-shutdown.html#

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/sep/28/senate-bill-avert-government-shutdown-advances/?page=all

Nowhere did I say Cruz did shut down the government over Planned Parenthood funding. Yes, Cruz shut down the government over Obamacare. He was willing to do the same over funding Planned Parenthood, but GOPe ignored conservatives and passed a complete funding bill. They openly derided Cruz for wanting to shut down the government and said that such attempts would fail. He did literally EVERYTHING possible short of holding a gun to their heads to stop funding Planned Parenthood.

So, no, you corrected nothing. You are on the bandwagon to abandon one of the few solidly conservative elected representatives we have. I don’t care if you want to support Trump or even some other candidate. I really hate when people whine and complain about the GOPe and then attack one of the few people who has done everything in his power to stop them and hold them accountable. He deserves better. And it is going to take better to get anything changed for the better.

Cruz has done an incredible job as a senator. The best in my lifetime probably. We need a hundred of him there.

“Cruz was the ONLY senator who teamed with Beck to throw a Foreign Invaders Welcome Party.”

Cruz was viciously attacked for his insensitivity to these “unaccompanied minors”. His position then and now and always was they have to be sent home. Whatever your opinion of this as a publicity stunt, it was not illegal, it was not a vote for illegal immigration or amnesty, and Cruz wanted people to know he was not for children dying of dehydration in the desert, as was the media narrative at the time.

Cruz single-handedly STOPPED the gang of eight bill that would have resulted in AMNESTY actually happening if he had not intervened.

Some people have a short memory which is apparently why the GOPe keep betraying us. But some us do not have a short memory. We remember who stood up for what we sent them to Washington to do.

“The guy Cruz came right out and said would be an acceptable president—Rubio!”

No. You are misquoting him.

He said Rubio would be a better president than Trump.

I disagree. But that is not any basis for claiming Cruz is at all aligned with the GOPe. That is so far beyond ridiculous, you should be completely embarrassed by how stupid it sounds. Hillary Clinton is more aligned with the GOPe than Ted Cruz. You really are a fantasy writer. In this case it is trashy fantasy. Not fit for print.

Oh I see. Cruz said that due to Rubio’s symbiotic relationship with the GOPe and his country-destroying pro-amnesty stance, he would be an unacceptable president.

I agree with that assessment. Kindly link me to Cruz’ quote. I’d like to bookmark it.

Well, it certainly matters to me. I mean, picture a tense negotiation over nuclear weapons, the Iranians sitting on the one side and us on the other and all of a sudden our chief negotiator starts eating boogers. Would you want that?

Yeah. Me too.

‘No. You are misquoting him.

No, YOU are misquoting him. Cruz said that either he, Cruz, or Rubio would be better presidents than Trump. Cruz lumped himself right in there with Rubio.

Are you arguing that Cruz doesn’t find himself acceptable as POTUS?

You are a very, very poor debater.

You assert that a person said something. You are called on it because the quote you attributed is false. Then you try to pretend that someone not saying something can only be disproved by showing he said the opposite thing. Go watch a youtube video on logic and come back and try again.

Here is your EXACT quote:

“The guy Cruz came right out and said would be an acceptable president—Rubio!”

What Cruz did was compare Rubio with Trump. Cruz asserted that Rubio was a better candidate and would make a better president than Trump.

We can debate the merits of his position, one I disagree with, but your framing of his comment falsely portrays what he said. You are like the others who posted claims that Cruz “endorsed” Rubio. You guys are the same ones who denounced Cruz as a liar because his campaign implied Carson was dropping out after Iowa. You need to apply the same standards to yourselves.

A lot of people would prefer Rubio to Sanders or Clinton. He is not a good or even “acceptable” choice to me. However, ALL of the candidates have pledged to support the Republican nominee.

You ignored my second post. Cruz put himself in the EXACT same category as Rubio. Are you saying Cruz doesn’t find himself acceptable?

‘You guys are the same ones who denounced Cruz as a liar because his campaign implied Carson was dropping out after Iowa.’

Implied?

IMPLIED???

What are you smoking? There was no implication. Or have you not listened to the voicemails that were sent to Every Single Caucus Location?

I bought the LIE that the Cruz campaign only repeated what CNN reported. Then I listened to the voicemails. They flat out state as fact that Carson is suspending his campaign. It is a LIE. CNN NEVER reported that. In fact, CNN reported that Carson was NOT suspending his campaign.

Listen to the voicemails. Then explain why heads in the Cruz camp didn’t roll. Anyone with an ounce of integrity would have fired the lying liar who sent those voicemails. Period.

A most unfortunate incident for Mr Cruz, I have never seen anything like it on TV in my 61 years.

I'm older than you. One time when I was a little kid our parents bought the first color tv on the block, sometime in the early 50s. Most television programming was still live. One eveing the country singer Jimmy Dean was on, and when he opened his mouth to sing, there was green dye all over his tongue from Clorets.

Sometimes it’s the most unusual stuff that makes a lasting impression upon the electorate...sometimes the average voter bases their vote on this kind of thing. They just don’t care enough to delve into politics all that much, so superficial things do end up making a difference.... What is seen can not be unseen, unfortunately. It’s just a major gross out.

One thing I really miss about my life before the 1970s when the so-called Youth Rebellion and Sexual Revolution took over, is the widespread use of manners and etiquette. Today's young people probably think it's laughable; but there used to be many books available about proper and polite behavior, that saved many a social relationship.

In this case, one should cover one's mouth momentarily with a handkerchief to dispose of the stray ort.
