Can Rubio, Kasich and Carson give their delegates to Cruz?
(Excerpt) Read more at google.com ...
Not looking forward to that at all.
Crazy days
The GOPe does prefer a malible Trump.
Is this similar to the dems "super delegates"? Where they are handed out to one candidate of choice by the DNC
The candidates do not own their delegates. The delegates will cast their first vote as they are obligated and then vote as they wish.
I read the article. Didn’t see any endorsement.
These were the confirmed total delegates as of 6:30 AM with many more to be assigned:
Trump 285
Cruz 161
Rubio 87
The rest of the pack, no one cares except Cruz and Rubio, both claiming that those votes would belong to them.
Now the Beck thing. That is a bad choice on Cruz's part and I shook my head on that one. Beck is certifiable. Cruz was/is still my choice and will be if he makes it to the general. Pulling for him
Your count is admittedly incomplete with the most votes missing those from Texas, to go 2 to 1 to Cruz.
Actual forecast totals, excluding Alaska are Cruz 223, Trump 241.
An eighteen delegate difference.
But they would not want to let Hillary in, right? We would not want to watch Rome burn. You know, cut off our head to spite our face.
Also, for Trump to have 285 they are including PREVIOUS delegates, not just the ones from Super Tuesday.
I think the numbers at my link are accurate as far as it is possible to judge.
Go on over to the RCP averages and reconsider your predications. For example, you say Kentucky goes for Cruz yet Trump is up +13 over Rubio; Ted is 7 point behind that. Disparities like this exist for some of the other state you predict for Cruz.
Yes, and what does that have to do with my post?
As a Cruz supporter, I think Ted should have spent more time congratulating Trump and acknowledging the huge number of good people who in their righteous anger are attracted to a man that exudes anger. Ted needs to make a better case that he is the best instrument to satisfy that anger in a way that doesn’t further damage the Republic.
In the end, Ted will need those people if he is to prevail in the primaries and against Hillary.
Carson my fold now, but Kasich will try to secure Ohio in two weeks and Rubio will stay in as the GOPe candidate.
What is it with Minnesota voters? ...not enough sunlight?
Time for Rubio, Kasich and Carson to go and get down to a two man race.
Presumed you were referring to question infered from article, having to do with delegate count.
Grasping at straws. Notice how King says the GOP may back Hillary to stop trump and Lindsey Graham says they need to rally round Cruz to save the GOP? Makes me more for Trump than ever.
1) Most establishment delegates will do what they are told.
2) The RNC can change the rules of the game. They have set aside a period one week before the convention for the declared purpose of changing the rules as needed.
3) The establishment is in the current situation because it tried to use central planning of their politiburo to prevent the many candidates in 2012 ... to prevent the Bachmans, Cains, Newts and other non-serious candidates.
4) The establishment never learns that central planning does not work. They dont realize that the current situation is a direct result of the RNC trying to do central planning and trying to prevent a free market in the primary process.
Implying that Cruz is a GOPe/RINO because he has GOPe/RINO support is as silly as the MSM implying that Trump is KKK because he has David Duke support.
Both Cruz and Trump as special. Trump for his New York values and Cruz for his Constitutional values.
