Help me understand: Why do YOU support Donald Trump?
Self

Posted on 02/27/2016 10:57:00 AM PST by sampai

As far as I can tell, Donald Trump is an unprincipled vulgarian. He would make a big show of deporting illegal aliens, only to "let the good ones back in." He supports single-payer healthcare. Before he flipped on the issue, he wanted to admit tens of thousands of Syrian "refugees." He has very un-American strongman tendencies.

Yet he's leading in the Republican primaries. So please help me understand: How would President Trump be better than, say, President Cruz?

Cruz is absolutely my first choice. But I don’t hate Trump either

But let me ask you a question back - if it came down to Bush vs Trump, Kasich vs Trump, Clinton vs Trump , who will you support?

It looks like he posts once every three and a half years. So he’s on a roll now.

It is in Cruz’s and Rubio’s mutual interest to try and go after the guy who’s in front of both of them. Good strategy for both. Try to expose him and shake some votes loose. That doesn’t mean that they aren’t serious about their own differences.

If your baseball team is in second or third place and the other contender is playing the division leader this weekend, who do you want to win? The answer is obvious — the other contender. You need to inflict some losses on the leader, and so so they.

Cruz and Rubio both need to bring Trump down some.

Increase prevailing wage for H-1Bs.

So how is that going to work? Government sets wages instead of the employer?

And another thing....you’re a smarmy little toady for the Republicrat party who posts his little snippet as a vanity post using only two sentences.

You don’t get it. We’re sick to death of the limp-wristed, mealy-mouthed asshats that the GOP continually dishes up. do we want poison...or poison lite?

I’m not voting for him in the primary but I’ll support him over at a Democrat. But I’ll never worship him and I will keep my powder dry.

... Cuz he might build a wall. With all the architects he employs, couldn’t we at least have a mock-up by now? Where are the property owners offering him right-of-way on their land? Since he’ll be sworn in in ten months, shouldn’t we have construction being planned and organized/permitted by now? And this is the #1 reason his cult has cleaved to him.

Because Pinochet isn’t on the ballot.

Aside from the holocaust and invading all of those countries and starting WWII, Hitler was pretty good at straightening Germany and their inept post WWI government out.

We need some straightening out. I personally think Trump wont have a problem doing WHATEVER it takes to make things happen.

The CPUSA wont be stopped via the electoral process.

I grew up in India, where I had to pass tests like this 20 years ago. It’s not as hard as it seems because:

Aha! An India Indian. Hindu or Moslem?

The federal government has a bad reputation for being full of incompetent people. In other words it is a kind of welfare system.

On the other hand, there are probably very few incompetent people in Trump’s organization. This is for the simple reason that Trump has no problem firing people who show themselves to be incompetent. if Trump didn’t fire incompetent people out of his organization then his business would not be the highly successful business that it is today.

So if Trump becomes president, I hope that the days of the federal government being a welfare system for incompetent people are over.

I'm not a Trump supporter, but I would suggest the word "Populist" is perhaps the most likely reason.

I am torn between Cruz, the true conservative, and Trump.

The appeal of Trump: not bought by anyone, successful, and speaks about the issues that really matter - borders, language, culture, and American nationalism. He says what people are thinking. And he took on the issue of Clinton sexual assault. No one has had the courage to do that.

But Trump had better very soon start getting specific on policies and stop the insults.

Before I get to cast a vote in California, the nomination will likely be settled.

I went and looked at your past posts and it looks like I was mistaken and maybe a bit harsh. Back on point, soon there will be only a couple places to jump to: The democrat nominee or stay home and not vote. Don’t jump ship please.

“How would President Trump be better than, say, President Cruz?”

He wouldn’t.

I agree that I do not believe that in the technical sense Trump would be a better President. Cruz would be better on the constitution.

It comes down for me who has the best chance to win and truly shake up the current political status quo. Cruz cannot do that. He will be co-opted or worked around. Trump cannot be ignored and he will make those who are not willing to change pay the price.

After Donald Trump finishes doing all the “liberal” things he has promised: build the wall, deport illegals and Syrian invaders, cancel Obama’s unconstitutional executive orders, roll back twenty years of intrusive government regulations, prosecute Hillary and her crew, release the secret 28 pages from the 9/11 report, negotiate prescription drug purchases, repeal and replace Obamacare, simplify the Tax code, repatriate $2.5 trillion in off-shore profits, stop the IRS from abridging the free speech of Christian Churches, reform the libel laws to remove the “public figure” distinctions, defund Planned Parenthood until the stop doing abortions, cleaning up the mess that is the VA, cutting waste, fraud and abuse where ever it is found, canceling Common Core and returning control of education to the States, end the assault on the Second Amendment, audit the Federal Reserve System, investigate the harmful additives in Vaccines and the coverup of studies at the CDC, and destroy the culture of Political Correctness, then we can talk about all those “conservative” issues you want to address.

Glad to help.

First, the ordure you just loaded up in your question is just that — ordure. One of course, is his supposed support of single payer, which, by now, you probably know you are lying.

Next, I like Trump for the positions he campaigns on, issues that he has forced, and I mean FORCED, into the public debate.

It is just that simple. It is not his money, it is not his TV show which I never watched, it is not his jet he flies in. It is the issues he champions.
