Anyway, I was coming back from Manhattan tonight on the Metro-North (West Haven Line) and people were all abuzz over Donald Trump and the Chris Christie endorsement. People feel that with Trump, it will not be politics as usual. I think that they are correct.
Trump will not hire political flacks and family members to important posts. No! Trump will hire the very best for the particular job they are suited for.
This election has been clarifying.
To think is terms of principles is hard, and there is no immediate emotional pay-off. Just as liberty itself has no immediate pay-off. It is merely a system in which individuals are free to advance to the limits of their abilities, which may or may not be great.
But for the emotionally incontinent and/or stupid, there is an immense emotional pay-off to following a leader who flatters your vanity and tells you that your repeated failures in life are not due to your own deficiencies, but to outside people & forces arrayed against you - forces & people which this leader promises to destroy.
Do what you want with your pathetic life.
But just attach the correct descriptor.

I can't imagine embracing illegal aliens from my culture to the detriment of my host adopted country.
Funny thing, when an individual chooses to be charitable, it's a virtue.
