No, it’s my own analysis based on what I know of history. You’re looking for a strong man to save us, and that rarely turns out well.

If we’re being historically honest, the Republic was long-dead by the time Caesar crossed the Rubicon. Sulla’s actions a generation prior had helped that demise, as did the Senate’s inbred corruption and it was despised by the general public, exactly like today.
Caesar was loved by the “voters” and despised by the thoroughly-corrupt, “1%” Senate. Just like Trump today.
I don’t see any of these candidates leading an army into battle and fighting on the front lines, much less being a strategic genius, do you?
A vote for Donald Trump is a vote for a fraud, a hypocrite, a con man, a scam artist, and a lowlife loser.
If Trump is a lock to win then how is our vote for him not a wasted vote too? Should we just stay at home in order to not waste our vote?

I admit, it used to bug me that some folks on FR were often such “purists”. If a candidate didn’t get 100% on the Heritage Action scorecard, forget it.
Now those conservative scorecards are laughed at and impugned. Issues don’t seem to matter a whit.

No it isn’t. Just because your guy doesn’t win doesn’t mean your vote was wasted. Just means there weren’t enough of you to help him win. The “wasted” vote argument is only used by the pathetic who think their candidate might not win, ie those who are wasting air.

Actually he has. He has his brand name stuff made overseas, rather than have American workers make it. He doesn’t put his money where his mouth is.
Agree. Cruz would make the best president out of the remaining candidates. It’s not even close. Rubio is all-in for amnesty and open borders. Trump is a human roulette wheel regarding policy and appointments. No one knows what he’ll do, not even himself.
