OREGON STANDOFF: 'The Portland Twenty-five', Seim on FBI: "They were there for violence"

There were two indictments unsealed in connection with the protest-occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge yesterday.

Newly charged were Geoffrey Stanek and Travis Cox. Stanek has been arrested, Cox has not yet been arrested at last report.

There are now 25 people charged in connection with the protest.

Back in 1968 when anti-Vietnam War protestors violently disrupted the Democratic National Convention, with f-bombs coming from their mouths and throwing excrement at the authorities, their leaders were charged.

Their supporters and the mainstream media dubbed them "The Chicago Seven".

Those now accused of protesting non-violently in Oregon may need a name, too. Perhaps "The Portland 25" might work for now.

With protestors outside the federal courthouse in Portland supporting them, the four who surrendered on Thursday appeared in court yesterday. They all pled 'not guilty'.

Greeting them with waves as they each walked into the courtroom was Nevada State Assemblywoman Michele Fiore, who witnessed their surrender. Maxine Bernstein of "OregonLive" wrote about defendant Sandy Anderson:

"A tearful Sandra Anderson blew Fiore a kiss and mouthed 'thank you' before she was led out of the courtroom."

Outside Nevada State Assemblyman John Moore told the media regarding LaVoy Finicum's death: "In my opinion Mr. Finicum was murdered at the hands of the Oregon State police and others federal agents as well. This man was trying to surrender, it's quite obvious on the video that he was..."

Moore went on to describe his own military experience with ambushes.

Activist Gavin Seim posted a new video last night discussing what happened when David Fry called him on Wednesday night during the FBI assault on "Camp Finicum" in the refuge parking lot, a call that led to the internet livestream viewed by hundreds of thousands of people.

Seim said: 'the FBI had nothing to do with peaceful resolution in this, people standing up, people getting the word out, patriots putting massive pressure. They were there for violence just like they always were and so make no mistake when that first night went down the FBI negotiators there were there trying to goad the patriots into violence. They wanted blood, they wanted to commit more murder just like when they assassinated LaVoy Finicum......'

The FBI is beginning a process of thoroughly searching the refuge and the buildings occupied, looking for 'evidence' and 'explosives'. Bomb squads from Oregon State Police, Portland City Police and the Oregon Air National Guard participating with the feds.

They are putting on quite a dramatic show, a show to nowhere to demonize those who stood up to the federal government's "War on the Cowboys" and their persecution of the Hammond family in Harney County, Oregon.

I sorry I forget to link the videos of the two livestreams from Wednesday night (FBI assault), Thursday (surrender).

They are both multiple hours long, but if you listen you can reflect and draw your own conclusions.

(I made a new thread, but I’m waiting for it to get approved so I’ll just post this here)

I’ve been listening to Rush Limbaugh for 20 years, and I’ve been watching Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity and most of Fox News since they’ve been on the air. I followed Glenn Beck when he moved to the Blaze and I religiously read Breitbart every single day.

But for some reason, when our fellow beloved PATRIOTS were getting MURDERED BY OBAMA’S THUGS WHO ARE SOMEHOW LEOS, I didn’t hear a peep, A PEEP!!, out of anyone on Fox News, or the Blaze, or Twitchy, or Breitbart, or Rush, or ANYONE come to defend these heroes who just wanted to protect their first and second amendment rights as says so in the CONSTITUTION!

For years they’ve been telling WE THE THE PEOPLE OF THE CONSTITUTION that we should fight tyranny from Obama and his thugs at the IRS, EPA and the BLM ( and the other BLM too!), but when heroic AMERICANS finally do so, they pretend they don’t even exist! Hell, I bet a criminal like Trayvon Martin got more support from Sean Hannity than the Christian heroes up in Oregon!

Where were you Sean?! Where were you Rush?! Where were you Glenn Beck?! And where were the hundreds of millions of people across the country who would come to the aid of WE THE PEOPLE IN OREGON that these same talking heads have told us would appear if we stand up to the government?!

Somebody explain this to me! I’m just so angry that these brave HEROES OF THE CONSTITUTION were betrayed by those who I’m sure they (and we) admire the most!

I would probably agree with Seim too, but I’d like that to be an informed opinion and sometimes the OP presumes everyone’s already on top of the story.
Had to go and find out the hard way: CNN. ;)

I completely agree with you. The slander and mislabeling of these Patriots is disgusting.

There’s a political obsession with a lot of those broadcasters with Beck literally on the campaign trail for Ted Cruz.

I happen to support Cruz so I can handle that.

But Beck expressed his non-support for the resistance when it started early in January and forgot about everything that happened since with one exception, a tweet mourning the death of LaVoy Finicum urging people not to seek revenge bringing up Timothy McVeigh’s retribution for Waco in Oklahoma City.

I don’t worship the fatted calf of politics although as mentioned above I support Cruz, have some hopes for Trump but he seems to only drive up negatives?

Frankly, I spend a lot of time online and give those folks less of my time.

The current occupiers occupied a “federal facility” that was not interfering with anyone. Maybe there were a few people who were inconvenienced by it but not thousands of folks trying to get to their jobs, businesses that couldn’t operate, trash, drugs, even rape.

As for the New York police — a liberal government directed the police. Likewise for the recent riots where violence was rampant. Wondering how many people were arrested? Especially for arson. Isn’t arson a federal crime?
