A male leopard which entered a school in the Indian city of Bangalore injured six people trying to capture it. A scientist and a forestry employee were among those mauled during the near 10-hour long effort to corner the dangerous animal on Sunday. The leopard, which strolled into the Vibgyor International school, was eventually tranquillised and released. A recent wildlife census estimated that India has a leopard population of between 12,000 and 14,000. The eight-year-old male was spotted strolling inside the school premises in the Kundalahalli area.

Hope your jewels came out unscathed!
Having a tick in my skivvies as a kid was as bad as it got for me.
LOVE the expression on her face...
did anyone ask the leopards side of the story? that is some video it was p1ssed of to say the least.
Wow!
And don’t tug on Superman’s cape!
Kitty out to tear a new orifice or two...........
Kind of reminds me of a NYC inner city school...
Thanks.
Trying to capture it?!?
There’s the problem... if they had just shot the thing, probably wouldn’t have had a single injury, and someone would have a nice throw rug.
Now there’s a MAN putting his life on the line to protect children. Wow. One chomp to his neck and it would’ve been curtains for him. In America I think guys would either be taking cellphone pics or running like crazy.
Actually, India has a very large population of Leopards. The cats are so numerous in India that the cat is constantly going into towns and cities snatching up dogs and cats. Leopards are beautiful and is my favorite big cat.
Doesn't she know Hillary already tried that one out the other day?
They’re just mountain lions with spots is all. I wouldn’t want to go up against either. Mountain lions scare the #&%# out of me and they are all over the United States to the tune of 30,000-40,000??!
Thanks and cool! See video in post #13 if you haven’t already.
Good catch. We learned it the other way around... as our friend, “Roy G. Biv”.
Nice video. However, Leopards, like Lions, do not purr. He was growling but it was a nice, do that again, growl. Too bad he was in a cage. Beautiful cat.
Yeah...me, too.
But cheetahs can be tamed to an extent, and have rather dog-like behavior. Leopards are like mountain lions - permanent bad attitudes. :)
Leopards are a very different cat. Beautiful but I am not petting one no matter how tame their handler tells me it is.
Interesting. Learning all kinds of things today.
I learned both, and so the name of the school just leaped out at me.
BTW...the video of the attack was awful!
