Outback is out with me. Last visit was awful. Menu said sangria came with diced apples. None in me glass so I mentioned it to my waitress. She dismissed me with a flippant ..we don’t do that anymore. I said but your menu said it does. She just walked away. Then our meals came. There was butter on my husband’s potato but they ran out of butter and mine was dry. Waitress says they are making butter in the kitchen. I asked if they were milking a cow and churning butter? No manager came by. No apologies, and this was our anniversary dinner. Haven’t been back for a dinner since.

You should write to corporate. I have written them a couple times, mostly to say great job regarding servers, but they are really good about responding and at least do a great job of appearing to actually care. Your meal should have been comped, I know it would have at the one I used to go to.

I’m not into sports-I hiked in the woods, and then watched other stuff on TV in the evening-

Those events are not convivial
Where Hillary will be speaking-
Not many seem to be interested
In hearing more of her shrieking

Her playing of that gender card
And the attitude of her friends
Such as Madeline not-so-bright
Define the message Hillary sends-

That message is just it’s my turn-
Bill promised I would be crowned-
And as long as I let him have fun
He probably won’t make a sound

A++++ yeah, Maddie Albright said there’s a special place in HELL for women who do not support other women. That is the most absurd thing I have ever heard in my life. I owe women NOTHING just because we share a gender.

That sounds like the dinner from hell-I’ve only eaten at Outback once, when we lived in the burbs, and didn’t care for it-noisy, long wait, screeching kids all over the place-I’m not into spending perfectly good money to put up with that-I’d rather make my salad and veggies, bake my potato, grill my steak and shrimp at home, with my choice of wine and garnishes for 1/3 of the price...

There were only two restaurants I really liked over the years-one was Cork and Cleaver-that closed years ago-and the other was a small place about 22 miles away-that one got sold to someone-the last time we ate there, the experience was something like what you described. Fortunately, the former owner bought a restaurant about 16 miles from here, and it is a nice, quiet, grownup place with great service and food-I just don’t have anyone to take me there but once in a blue moon-it is expensive and no fun alone...

Women like Maddie are one of the main reasons I will not work with women, and why most of my friends are men-women who use gender to demand equality instead of putting on their big girl panties and acting like equals are weak sisters...

That’s what people said when he ran for the Senate in Texas. I have yet to find anything about him with which I disagree, whereas I have several things that conflict with Rubio and they all stem from his amnesty positions and the Gang of 8.

A shocking number of folks out here want Trump. I cannot fathom it. None for Rubio. The other popular one is Bernie, judging from the number of bumper stickers for him.

NY Strip is my go to when I can. Usually it’s been T-Bones on sale here. that’s a strip steak and a little bit of the loin. The porterhouse is the T-bone with both sides still there!

I think Rubio’s Gang of 8 involvement shows that he can be swayed too easily from his positions-and that is not something I want to see again in a CIC-he really has to toughen up for me to be voting for him without gritting my teeth-Cruz at least kicks ass and takes names-and I like that.

I’ll vote for the nominee, but I’m hoping for someone besides another go-along-get-along-that got us nowhere but into hell in the past 8 years...

Texas is not representative of the US electorate, so that is not persuasive. I agree with Cruz but he is not a like able guy and will not attract votes based on personality. Remember Freepers are a tiny minority and the great unwashed have to be persuaded to vote for him. The great unwashed like trump.

The northeast corridor is not representative either. Remember the socialite who said she couldn’t understand how Nixon won since no one she knew voted for him. I find Cruz to be persuasive and likeable. He’s also smarter than everyone else who is running.

And from the little bit I’ve seen here on FR, Trump has many fans, which surprises me since he is a raging liberal populist with no fundamental principles.

And are you insinuating that Trump is likeable? Or does one have to be likeable to be electable? I don’t understand your point.

Debates and Twitter attacks,
Appealing to our reason
No longer convivial pleading
It’s become open season.

Bernie keeps promising stuff
He plans to tax folks for
Robbing the rich to buy votes
Is making his numbers soar.

Trump is a populist, too
Twittering like a fool,
Though he swims to the left
of the Republican gene pool.

So pay attention now ‘cause it’s
Out with the old, in with the new
November 2016 is coming
And it’s up to me and you.

Annabelle kept me busy today, but I got my homework in. Now it’s off to run errands.

The country is made up of liberal and conservative areas and a candidate cannot be elected appealing to only one sector, regardless of how smart they are. We differ on Cruz. Time will tell if he can prevail. The voting populace is shallow, they are the antithesis of Freepers. He comes across like a smarmy used car salesman. Heck the freeper Trumpkins would have you believe he’s malevolent and a liar. I don’t believe that at all, I just find him not likeable and feel that the shallow low info voters won’t go for him,
