When they called her name at first I cringed, but she was amazing.
I knew she would do well. She does her outrageous stuff, but she can show humility, dignity, and class when called for. As an artist, she is wired a bit differently, but she's got some great classical talent and works hard at her craft. Thought she did a nice job in American Horror Story as well.

Great performance by Lady...

I don’t get anything from Gaga’s vocals either. She always sounds like she is on Broadway — emotionless, generic and overly theatrical.

Meh. My daughter said she was an hermaphrodite, but a 5 second Google proved her wrong. Apparently she’s all female.

Very, very good by Lady Ga Ga. So good the refs evidently had tears in their eyes rendering them blind.

once upon a time she was a sweet Italian American girl from a nice family.
Tony Bennett has brought her back to that

Yes, saw them showing the soldiers and heard the crowd response. Hard to see for a while afterwards.

I’m glad it was a success. Any vocalist with a decent range can do an adequate job with “The Star Spangled Banner,” if it starts low enough.

It’s always better when sung by a person who knows what it means.

That borrowed more than a little from Whitney Houston's rendition. Apparently that's required these days. Announcers should say, "And now to perform the Whitney Houston version of the National Anthem, here's..."
I don't associate Lady Gaga with self-restraint, but she definitely made an effort. Apart from a few minor pitch glitches, she did well, and looked good doing it.

Not for me. All these ladies who need to show off their vocal ranges to boost their egos overdue it and mess up a good song. All those vocal gymnastics are distracting. Just my 2 cents worth.
To: Uncle Lonny
Maybe I’m easily impressed. I wish I had ANY vocal ability at all. :)
