"I don't believe I have been given any credit by the voters for self-funding my campaign, the only one. I will keep doing, but not worth it!" @realDonaldTrump
Ok, haha that was pretty good.
CNN reporter reported that Carson was dropping out. Cruz campaign thought it meant he was quitting. In fact, I’m not sure if Carson is going to NH.
As I said, until he started whinning about voters not giving him credit about self funding his campaign, I never gave it a thought. A tongue in cheek remark to illustrate how childish he is. Nothing more.
A huge lesson for Donald to learn: if you want to buy voters you have to put checks in the mail just like when you buy politicians.
So Cruz didn’t call Ben or have his staff contact them to see if this was true?
He immediately assumed it was and ran with it for political gain - including at the caucus being attended in person by Carson’s wife!
Sleazy.
I assume you mean to demonstrate your independence by self-funding. But the Presidency is no job for an iconoclast. You'll need to demonstrate some ability to work with and build a coalition with people who are not your supporters in order to succeed. This is the structure of our government.
The question is who will you seek out and ally with to achieve your aims? I'm not talking about celebrity endorsements here...will you crowdfund? Seek out like-minded folks in the billionaires club? Join forces with Democrats who reject Socialism? Join forces with the Socialists? What could you possibly do for me to secure the measly $50 a month I'm currently giving to Ted Cruz?
Sincerely,
R. Voter
it’s not a good comment, but everything’s being overlooked this year :)
my guy has been a sneak...Cruz. it didn’t hurt him
everything trump has said didn’t hurt him.
good. maybe people are getting away from the PC crap.
actions and words do expose character for both though
Translation: I will win, I’m not controlled by donor money and my wife doesn’t write papers for the CFR on how to remove American sovereignty: http://www.vdare.com/posts/ted-cruzs-wife-heidi-on-task-force-which-wrote-building-a-north-american-community-report-aimed-at-abolishing-america
It's like the founders pledging their lives, their fortunes, and the sacred honor isn't it? It is obvious that spending all of your adolescence in military school will turn you into a patriot.
You have all the traits of a Rubio supporter. We shall see.
I think that’s only for the general election. Remember the flap when Obama was going to accept “matching funds”, then reneged so he could outspend McCain by hundreds of millions? That was that “tax form” money.
coming in second is not enough reward for the virtue of self funding. He may have to start requesting donations to get better results
And then the people that got the cars were mad when they found out they had to pay taxes for the gift. Lol
I don’t know if Cruz personally made the announcement. Perhaps a staffer?
This was the tweet from Chris Moody:
Carson won’t go to NH/SC, but instead will head home to Florida for some R&R. He’ll be in DC Thursday for the National Prayer Breakfast.
No need to attack. Trump will drop out of the race before ever getting to the convention. This tweet is just the first signal that he will eventually pick up his toys and go home.
For the guy who was going to “win so much we’d all get sick of winning” and who was going to “hire the best people in world to solve problems” he wasn’t able to do either when it came to organizing a ground game in Iowa. He can’t be bothered to campaign traditionally, county by county, and it appears he like many wealthy people, doesn’t like having to spend his own money.
The other Republican campaigns are reporting that the Trump ground game in New Hampshire is as disorganized as his Iowa ground game. Because of this and because of the positive press the other 2 top Republican vote getters are receiving following their Iowa showing, the NH results will be much closer than polls are currently indicating. And it won’t be Cruz nipping at his heels. It will be the GOPe’s candidate Rubio.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Trump’s reckless, destroy the other anti-establishment candidates Cruz and Carson at any cost has created a very large pathway to Primary victory for Rubio. Trump’s failure to win Iowa has compounded the problem for those of us hoping for a non-establishment nominee. Those of you that gleefully cheered as Trump used Democrat talking points to attack Cruz and Carson will be reminded of this by the rest of us when your candidate drops out before the convention. We will remind you again when Rubio claims the Republican nomination. Fine job. All of you.
Which he hides from no one while all the others lie and obfuscate to hide the man behind the curtain and his hidden goals. With Trump we know what we are going to get, he even tells us on Twitter.
I just read this today:
He got what he paid for.
Good luck with your request. Trying to decipher any tweet is a fool’s errand. They are too cryptic, and could mean anything.
Yeah, and with Trump he wants to give us Universal Health Care and stick us with the bill.
