He’s probably so far ahead its not worth getting out in the snow.
I wonder if Donald Trump will be indicted during the election year at the behest of Obama trying to thwart the rise of nationalism that his administration has tried so hard to destroy.
Logically, isn’t it the Trump supporters who have stood outside then waited hours for Trump rallies, whatever the weather or size of crowds? I’d think they’ve bonded through those events and will go to caucus to keep up that bond.
For a Trump supporter like me the numbers look promising and the trend towards Trump looks even better. But it’s Iowa, after all and anything can happen.
“Sitting pretty” is an odd choice of words for someone who leads the last three polls by an average of 26-23-19, given the extreme volatility of the race, the problematic internals, and the very clear banking on moderates.
By problematic internals, I mean this:
The PURPOSE of caucuses, instead of primaries, is to reach a bit of a consensus, or at least consensus voting blocks. 35-40% of Iowans, the majority of those who don’t already back him, say they could never back him. (28% say they’d never say that about ANY candidate.) And Rubio’s and Carson’s support levels are very soft, and they favor Cruz 2.5-1 over Trump.
Add to that that Trump is losing among people who’ve voted in caucuses before, and there is no sign from registration stats that there will be many first-timers, and Trump isn’t looking so hot.
And the DMR poll where he leads by 5?
Love how these silly media experts are afraid poor Iowans aren’t going to go out and caucus for fear of snowstorm. Hell in the winter, midesternes look forward to an excuse to get out of the house this time of year! Besides, we all walked two miles uphill both ways to school in blizzards so a little snow that hasn’t even started yet isn’t going to keep anyone home.
Trump the anti-conservative conservative winning:-)
I don’t believe anyone sits pretty until the hides are in the loft.
