Sunday on a special edition of Fox News Channel’s “Your World,” former Sen. Bob Dole, the 1996 Republican presidential nominee, criticized Sen. Ted Cruz
, a candidate for the 2016 Republican nomination, on the eve of the Iowa Caucuses.
Dole ripped Cruz for being “an extreme conservative” and argued Cruz would shut down the government given the opportunity.
“My candidate is Jeb Bush and I wish I could see him more on Fox today. But I think we have a number of good candidates who are Republicans and we have Cruz, who I don’t think is a Republican,” Dole said. “He is an extreme conservative. There is no one like him in the Senate. No one likes him in the Senate.
-snip-
“I doubt that he’s a Republican,” Dole added. “He can’t run as an extreme conservative. He’s a RINO — he’s a Republican in name only.”

I don't think Dole realizes.. Extreme conservative is still a good thing.
Have another Viagra, Bob, and STFU.
A RINO says what?
Have you seen him at the meetings, Bob?
Bob Dole and his wife Elizabeth are both the ultimate RINOS!
This is a very serious and credible accusation!! If anyone would know what a RINO is, Bob Dole would..
“LOL”
That is kind of funny coming from Dole... wasn’t he one of the RINO founding fathers...
Considering the Republican political ranks have become lousy with non-Conservatives, would that mean the Republican Party isn’t Conservative at all, and that anyone who is Conservative is indeed, Republican in Name Only, because they don’t toe the line with the liberals and ‘moderates’ who hijacked the Party?
maybe he is. but in a good way.. that means that Trump and Yeb! are just republicans.
Yes and Libby Dole could not even get re-elected to the Senate.
If Dole is the model of a republican, I would be proud to be labled a RINO.
Canuck Teddy is more a fake and phony in more areas than just politics.
Another original thought gleaned from FR. The Rinos on the far right.
I think Dole is right. Republicans are the party of Dole, McConnell, Boehnor, Cochran, Hatch, Ryan, McCain, Barbour, Graham, Romney, Bush, etc. The party is known by its leaders.
Conservatives are something else. I’m not sure where conservatives fit....but I know it’s not in the GOP.
Bob Dole needs to tell Bob Dole to STFU
So the worst dole can dole out is “He’s just like me!”
A bit of irony here. It is all in the eyes of the beholder. The term RINO is worthless as it have been over utilized and has no meaning anymore.
People use it whenever they disagree with another candidate on perhaps as little as one issue. Example is Marco Rubio who has a Conservative rating of 98%, and has acknowledged that he did favor in the past a path to citizenship. Die-hard/rigid folks cannot forgive him even though Marco has admitted that he made a mistake by trying to work with Charles Schumer. Because it was such a public event, he cannot seam to overcome the stigma.
Just my humble opinion.
The Democrats and Republicans should just call themselves The Uniparty.
They are all involved in the picking and choosing which laws to obey, giving judges and agency heads law making privileges, and overturning voter approved laws.
For a sanctuary city like Los Angeles to exist would require the city council, the mayor, the police chief, the city attorney, the governor, the state attorney general, the federal courts, the California Supreme Court, the United States Supreme Court, the attorney general of the United States, and the president to work against the people in Unisom. Any one of those links in the chain could have broken a sanctuary city. But the links are all strong no matter who is in charge, Republican or Democrat and they have been for 30 years.
[âMy candidate is Jeb Bush and I wish I could see him more on Fox today.”]
Try Telemundo, Bob. Maybe Primer Impacto.
