Consider the following:
- The Democrats have no viable candidates, and one very well may be indicted
- The Republican Party is imploding/being made irrelevant by Trump
- The country has no borders
- The Middle East and North Africa are in chaos
- Fox News and many conservative pundits have lost respect of their audiences
- Europe is being fundamentally changed by an Islamic invasion, and is tilting toward civil war
- The "Pope" has more interest in Palestinians than he does Catholics
- The world economy is as shaky today as it was in 2008
Any other seismic shifts that I missed?

Actually, that can be taken two different ways. Both of which are correct.
Yes, I am thnking that we may see the whole house of cards collapse this cycle.
The economy will turn around once Trump gets in.
I am not so sure. It is difficult to see a path forward to correct our economy and the world economy without a period of deep pain. The economy is like a drug addict and the drug is fiat currency - there will be a horrible period of withdrawal. Half of our nation is dependent on government largess and deficit spending and there would be a period of unrest if that were turned off as it needs to be.
The reality for me is that I do not believe any of this will happen. If we are talking about many years for a period of correction than any candidate or party who implemented such policy would be swept away in two years and lose the executive branch in four. All the democrats have to do is promise the world they will go back to the utopia people demand - see Europe. Our system of government and two corrupt parties are firmly connected to the gravy train and it won’t stop - politicians get most of what they want in both parties because nobody is forced to set priorities or a budget.
Expecting any kind of turn-around would be like expecting a heroin addict in a room full of heroin to kick their habit. I don’t believe it will happen and there are no soft landings in our future.
Winter is coming. And I ain’t talking about the weather.
I fear for my children and grandchildren.

So no. No anxiety at all...

There’s no other plausible outcome.
.
Worse:
Using the word ‘gender’ which applies only to nouns, not to persons, in place of the word ‘sex.’
.
Though I agree with you, I see “turnaround as what was instigated by Lenin and Hitler. And the did it with the support of the people.
Just sayin’.
The biggest mistake one can make is to believe it can’t bappen here.
Let me try and reassure you a little on the first point. You are right that at the moment they have no viable candidate, but they will pull Joe Biden out of a hat at the convention if necessary (and it may well be). Now Biden is an idiot, but I don’t think he’s a crook, and I certainly hope he would lose, but I’d rather have him as President than Hillary or Bernie (who’s probably unelectable, because we’re going to raise your taxes you damn betcha is not a winning slogan).
The only ones running that are that kind of threat are Democrats.
We must stop the invasion before they have permanent majorities.
Crisis?
We don’t need no steenkeen crisis.
What the heck are they going to do with a dozen
A380s?
Maybe to replace their 747’s? Emirates Airlines from Dubai (that has a population of 2.5-million) has 73 A380 in service with an additional 67 on order, for a total of 140. Wow!
Anxious? No, not really. Not anymore. The sheer symbolism of the country’s moral rot that occurred with the depravity of homo-marriage was a true turning point for me. Like a final line in the sand. It made me fully realize that I no longer have a country that I’m concerned about preserving. No longer a country nor a people that I feel emotionally invested in.
It’s rather unburdening, actually. Although I still have an enormous reservoir of anger at those who transformed the nation into such a sewer.

I feel the same. ‘Rats or GOPe win in Nov. and it’s all over but the shouting.
