Prior to this primary, I've never seen or partaken in, the vitriolic discussions Ive seen on FreeRepublic before now. Particularly when we all have held the same goal for so long.
But I am now guilty, as others are...
Nice thoughts.
However, did not take long to degenerate to just another free for all.
Like all the other Free For alls.
At least you tried.
good grief.
Clinton and Sanders will be proud of you.
As a people we cannot agree on what the definition of Liberty is, much less what the definition of Conservative is. A House divided is already conquered - and few even see what has already happened to us.
As if the coup we witnessed under our noses never happened.
What you are witnessing, is simply the shell-game that exists for one purpose only: create the illusion that the crowning of Hildabeast or Sanders as the next Dear Leader is legitimate.
I know you don't want to believe this, but there is MOUNTAINS of evidence that the Ruling Class have rigged this entire deal, and I'll leave you with yet another puzzle piece many of you are going to refuse to even look at:
You are all about to find out that indeed, we lost the Republic already - and the coup is complete. Polls don't matter. YOUR VOTE don't matter. The Ruling Class will determine who rules us, and the rest is just theatrics and distractions.
nail on head
Lol! Ok, you know, I actually think trump could be a democrat plant, whether he knows it or not.
Having said that, I also think, how can so many FReepers be wrong? Are they just tired of the fight? Willing to follow any hope at all....or not?
I vote..or not. I will give my vote to whichever FReepers choice wins the nomination.
Trump has his good points, he is not a conservative, but he's never claimed to be one, and you know, what's wrong with thinking out of the box?
But, this is what I'm saying, we should discuss these matters in a FR way.
There has been many Trump supporters who have been very kind to me, offering their points in a respectful and supportive manner, That is what prompted me to start this thread.
Good post, KC! I’ve been a Trump fan for a decade, because of his books - and also got to work on a TV project that young Don was on. His kids are gems! However, Cruz is the top guy promising to repeal
B-HOCare. So, I’m on the fence, and for the first time ever. The back and forth between all the great Freepers AND great points from both Savage and Levin aren’t helping things. I might need special consultation from JimRob. :)
I hope Trump wins the election by 50.00000001% of the vote. Because the Rats HATE him and will never make peace with him. His power will be beholden to the Conservatives, and if he ever diss’s us, it will be over - he’ll never win a second term.
Cruz will have his day in the sun. Just not this time around. Trump was sent to us from on high at this point in history because he is uniquely qualified to solve our country’s problems because of his extensive business background and his temperament. He’s a deal maker and a fighter too.
Cruz is young. He has years ahead of him to make his mark. Perhaps on the Supreme Court, in some other public office, or he can run for President again whenever he would choose to do so. Cruz is a good man whom I doubt anyone can keep down. Go Trump!
You are right,Olog-hai. I must admit I looked to see if you, KittenClaws, were new and wanted to stir up trouble. :(
Recently, it has been vitriolic and gives ammo to the Dems...but that is who we are. We share opinions openly.
This divisiveness has happened before. Every election...especially presidential elections. I lost a friend during the Giuliani purge.
But this is different. The important thing is that we come together once the nominee is decided.
I thought both Santorum and Huckabee acquitted themselves well last night at Trump’s rally and I really wanted Cruz to do well.
In short, right now, open debate will help us select a nominee who can beat whomever the Dems nominate...and who will be able to weather the storms, economic and otherwise, that I believe await the next President.
Sometimes it’s difficult not to post when you see lies, misinformation, etc. about your candidate.
I was cured of it when my niece sent me a cartoon that showed a frazzled guy sitting at a computer with the quote, “I’d like to come to bed honey, but first—there is someone on the Internet who disagrees with me and I have to set them right.”
If you have come here for discourse, you are in the wrong place when it comes to certain topics.
I will say that I come here for one of the best sites for an accumulation of the widest news stories on these inter webs. That is less the case during rabid primaries. But in three months things will just be about hating Hillary...so we have that to look forward to.
In the end, sometimes it’s fun to get into the middle of an argument and write something off the wall—just to see the crazies go crazy. A guy has to get his fun where he can.
There is no law that you have to converse with anyone. Try it sometimes. It can be powerful. Say your peace, and go away.
This too shall pass.
No, not quite correct. I have watched this country progress with regular help of both parties toward a socialist system. All the while patriots (i.e.; conservatives and Constitutionalists) have been driven into the pubbie ranks to ‘Save the Republic’ with the same regularity that rats rally their base with the ‘they’’ll throw grandma off a cliff’ meme. The FACT is that the GOP has betrayed that base at nearly every turn in the last 25-30 years when they have wielded power. When in the minority, they startle one with the cooperation to dismantly the institutions and laws of the land and plead innocence. They are, to be coldly honest, complicit in the crime of treason.
We can only rely on the hope of a principled leader or the clear and present danger of a feral gub’mint’s aggressive provocation for a Constituional reset of government. In either case, a flim-flam populist shouting slogans he neither believes or shows any evidence of practicing will gain us neither and only exacerbate the situation. That will only drive either option for Constitutional restoration.
It is my sincere hope that should Trump win the nomination, and by any chance goes on to win the presidency, despite his immature, thin skinned, egomaniac ways, that he does not turn into another Arnold.
Isn’t that the truth.
It does not at all, Daxton. (Sorry on a tablet and do not know how to cut and paste your original post!)
That is what I hope for...
I have always voted my gut, and have been right 100% of the time. My candidate has not always won, but when my candidate did lose, his opponent was a disaster.
I will go with my gut on this one as well. No Trump.
“but we betray ourselves with this serious infighting.”
There is no “infighting”. Infighting imples that Trump and Cruz are peas out of the same pod. But, they are not. Trump is an opportunist oligarch pandering to his nationalist base. Trump will drop his nationalist base the second he is nominated. He thinks in terms of “deals”. He is already ready to make deals with his progressive inner-core. The guy is a fraud.
Cruz, on the other hand, is a constitutionalist conservative. Big difference.
Gosh, what a defeatist *fart* you’ve emitted!

Thank you for your post.
You will find nearly all of us who support Trump would gladly vote for Cruz if he were to win the nomination.
The reverse is not true, however.
Youâve already seen it here in your replies.
I will also continue to advise others tp do the same.
Ah come on....politics is more fun than soccer. Gets the blood flowing and the fingers typing....Just think of all the effort being made by us pajama wearing, barcalounger sitting Freepers having fun discovering someone on the internet is wrong.
