So the waves got them - we went from Santa Cruz up to San Francisco and stopped by a little beach, walked out with my two toddlers and a giant wave came in the minute we stepped onto the beach, I pushed my son up to a rock and grabbed my little girl with both hands, she was underwater looking up at me with a terrified look in her eyes I will never forget.
You must ALWAYS take care at the oceans edge, it is not forgiving.

What an awful shock .
Glad all is okay.
I grew up along the Gulf of Mexico had a few rogue wave stories but the Dark Pacific Ocean always made me very Leary .
