Media personality Glenn Beck administered a mock presidential "oath of office" to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) as he endorsed him on stageâand Cruz got the oath wrong when he took it.
"What is the oath of office that you have to take?" Beck asked Cruz after the Texas Senator joined him on stage after Beck's more-than-half-hour-long speech endorsing Cruz.
"What-what?" Cruz replied.
"Dear God, if you don't know this, everything else-" Beck joked. "When you raise your right hand, what are you going to say?"
"I pledge to honor and defend the Constitution of the United States of America," Cruz replied.
Technically speaking, that's not the oath of office for the president of the United States.

Oh. My. God.
I think it’s the same speech at each event.
I’m tired of you hypnotized Trump fanatics defining conservatism down. If you don’t know that Trump is not in any way, shape or form a conservative, then you are willfully blind. Trump is playing the art of the deal on you, and will screw you over just like he brags about screwing everyone over on deals.
If you donate to Democrats, praise Hillary, say you’re pro-choice, support nationalized health care, support a special tax on millionaires or a progressive income tax, say you have New York values, support ending the Cuba embargo, support NSA surveillance without warrants, support eminent domain for private developers, then you might not be a conservative. And I don’t care which one of those he flip-flopped on in the last 10 years any more than I gave Romney credit for well-timed flip flops.
Would Trump have known the oath of office by memory? LOL, come on. As usual, Trump worshipers give him a pass on everything and hold Cruz to strict, impossible standards.
It must be. At any rate I won’t watch another just to be “fair.”
Trump is a power-mad, egomaniacal, megalomaniacal liar who cheated on his first wife, bragged about having sex with married women in 2007 and cannot be trusted to fulfill a single campaign promise. Cruz is an honest, consistent, loyal, genuine, brilliant conservative stalwart who is conservative down to his bones and would be the best President since Reagan.
Was Beck born in Canada? That would explain a lot.
Beck was dressed in jeans made by single mothers from clothe made in a mill he had refurbished in the Carolinas. The 1791 supply and Company.
It would be interesting to know if Brietbart was alive today if he would claim Beck stole that idea from him as well.
To bad we will never know.
Where are Trumps ties made? BVB
My bad. He was born in WA. There’s an actor with the same name who was born in Canada. Got the two mixed up.
“Maybe all this is some sort of Mormon thing”
No. It’s not. Beck is just... Beck.
It’s not so much that I’m reading his mind, but that I’m just not liking the inconsistency of his positions. Since I believe Cruz would also do all the things you cite, and I believe he’s much more reliable on moral and social issues, and I also like that Cruz has the “libertarian” view on the NSA powers unlike Trump and most mainstream Republicans, I would vote for Cruz. If it was down to Trump against Bush or the other guys, I’d go with Trump. I don’t like RINOs. And I will vote for the Republican in the general against the Democrat whether it’s Cruz or Trump or Rand or Graham or Pataki, etc.
Trump isn’t clear on health care at all, and always says he wants a system that will cover everybody. Once you put in that guaranteed coverage in any system, it poisons the free market nature of the system by giving people the option to do nothing and know they will still be covered in the end. Welfare doesn’t work. Granted, if we would just require community service to receive ANY welfare benefits, the use of it would go way down, but no one’s even talking about that.
To me Beck’s antics here are about on a par with Sarah’s awful “speech”, he’s much less prominent than her though so I don’t see it as damaging Cruz very much.
The guy fell off the face of the Earth for a reason, didn’t he?
Beck made Cruz hold a compass which is used as a symbol in mormonism.
******************************
Another symbol stolen by Joseph Smith, directly from Free Masonry. As a Free Mason, I resent the hell out of J. Smith, who was kicked out of his local lodge, taking a lot of rites and ceremonies with him and inventing a “religion” with them.
Ted Cruz is now ‘Temple Worthy’ - confirmed
*********************************************
Beck is looney bin worthy.
If I was Cruz I would run, not walk, away from Glenn Beck.
You might want to get help, I think you’ve lost control.
Try telling us what you believe without the hostility.
Now we'll wait for the Trump trolls to start trashing George Washington.
I actually thought the same thing especially when Beck muttered something about Cruz not even knowing the oath. Obviously meant as a joke but seriously not working. Today there’s a thread that they dropped this lame bit of badinage. Leave the jokes to Trump, please. Cruz doesn’t have a funny bone in his body. He’s going to regret this endorsement.
The compass was George Washington’s compass. Our first president George Washington geeeze.

George Washington was a Free Mason too. Master of his lodge, as such he would have had a Masonic compass.
That was painful to watch.
