Because I don’t feel an apology was necessary. I pointed out that she voted twice. By time stamps, both were cast in the valid voting window— unless FR time codes are off.

It’s your choice.

You’re right. Deleting posts on the Caucus thread could be seen as vote tampering. Good call.

Don’t worry. You won’t get any crap from me unless you take a swing on me.

Don't intend to. Just want to make sure this thing is fair.

Can we make it a secret ballot?

Highlight the area below this sentence

Secret vote here

Since the thread cannot be bumped, how do people ever get to see it to vote? Last night being on Doughty’s time zone I could see it and vote, but I haven’t seen it today. How to keep it prominent?

Also, I do hope there will be a way to see the results. We have had monthly polls here and I’ve voted in them but never seen a single result.

I saw one vote for Jeb before I left the thread. That was a real surprise.

There is nothing to stop his family from being FReepers.

I’ve noticed that the meanest people are the devout Christians voting for Cruz. I don’t like what that means. Most Trump voters don’t see evil in Cruz. Nor in his supporters. The Cruz voters I really understand are the ones afraid Trump is fooling us and won’t really do what he is saying. And I totally get that. Voting and supporting is a risk. I understand them. But I know it will be with my own sons’ blood our next revolution would be paid, if we don’t find a way to do it through the ballot box. This is life or death for me: I’m supporting Trump as a bloodless chance to fight our government overlords.

Highlight makes that effort unsuccessful.

You see a person’s name and you’re inquisitive, so you highlight.

Lets all operate on the honor system and not discuss the votes on the Caucus thread.

We want as many people to participate as we can get.

Sure the occasional vote mystifys us, but that’s okay.

You got it!

That's why I posted my supposed-to-be humorous comment here.

Humor, yes, but a heads up as well.

Oh and I think this is a GRATE idea, thanks so much for all the time you will be dedicating to this task!

This is life or death for me: I'm supporting Trump as a bloodless chance to fight our government overlords.

Beautifully expressed, Yaelle. You speak for me with those words. The existential crisis you laid out is precisely what has caused me to become a Trump supporter.

I don't want a civil war. I'm firmly convinced that if we don't get a Patton or a Churchill into the White House in November, we're going down that road again. And this time, it's my kids who'll be fighting it.

Looks like tonight's poll is listed in the sidebar, which is great. A lot more folks will find it, now that it's there.

As long as it keeps showing up there every night, folks will find it.

Someone could also start a Caucus ping list so pingees could easily find the thread if it gets bumped off the sidebar by breaking news stories.

I’m right there with you both. I think this is our last chance at the ballot box. I really, really would like to see this country fixed without bloodshed.

Soap Box - broken
Jury Box - broken
Ballot Box - creaking
Cartridge Box - still sealed and unbroken

That's all Americans have left. We had better get it right this election or we'll have but one box left to go to.
