McDonalds is testing a spin on it's classic French fries, drizzling them with chocolate and calling them McChoco Potato. You can have your fries with two types of chocolate sauces: chocolate with cacao flavor and white milk chocolate.
McDonald's hopes this combination will give customers a salty and sweet harmonious taste, so the customer can eat them as a side to a burger, or as a dessert.

No kidding! One would think they’re hiring a bunch of millennials that absolute HATE McDonald’s and all it stands for, and are trying to destroy the company.
This is getting ridiculous.
Now, who did the product testing? Pregnant tasters on a craving binge? Or employees of the chocolate syrup supplier?
Sounds better than poutine, anyway. ;-)
I live about a mile from a fabulous cafeteria that serves real food, like pork chops, roast beef, chicken, veal and incredible catfish. Real butter, real sugar and fat in the desserts.
Nothing says “I’m just giving up” than chocolate covered french fries.
A friend of mine made pig candy over the weekend... honey-candied bacon. Lordy, lordy, lordy...
the size of a burger has decreased at Wendy’s and Burger King too. I go to Backyard Burger for a normal size burger
Be better if they go back to cooking them in beef tallow
Couldn’t agree more. I was just telling my boss (a chef) that if I ever owned a restaurant I’d use tallow for fries. He looked at me like I was insane. I suppose because of the price?
Before switching to pure vegetable oil in 1990, the McDonald’s corporation cooked its French fries in a mixture of 93% beef tallow and 7% cottonseed oil.
The dude in my tagline wants to moonlight as a tester. ;-)
Did it poll well with their target consumers?http://www.mcdonalds.com/365black/en/home.html
The dude in my tagline says, “Add shake of electrolytes to those chocolate-covered fries, and we’ll buy them.!”
Cook’em in bacon grease........
Idiots go back to the Meuse of the 60s fry the fries in lard use real beef patties use a smidge more condiments make it reasonably priced and kick ass agin it’s that simple oh and invest in translating soft wear for your order Taking intercom
Here’s the perfect movie to go with that, though.

We had chocolate covered bacon at a restaurant during the holidays.
Not everything is better with chocolate on it - bacon and fries are just two of those things.
How about testing going back to the old recipe THAT TASTED GOOD?!?!?!?!?
Eating them once a week doesn’t make me fat!!!!
