It would be wise for everyone to remember, Donald Trump stood up to defend the Tea Party when the left-wing nuts and the media attacked them/us.
A full year before Ted Cruz emerged as a Texas senate candidate, Trump was doing all he could to advance grassroots efforts against entrenched political types.
While back-stabbing lapdogs like Glenn Beck joined with the left-wing media whackos who were accusing the Tea Party of being filled with radicals, extremists and racists. Donald Trump stood up and said no; he defended the Tea Party at a time when few politicians were willing to do so publicly.
TRUMP defended TEA party before CRUZ
oops! might need to add more

Glenn Beck and Cruz teamed up in July 2014 to go the border and welcome the invaders with soccer balls and teddy bears.
Breitbart reporter who was in the room said the crowd booed Trump when he attacked Cruz. Passing along what he reported.
LoL. Yeah like 3 people from cheap seats and with 55 seconds left in Trump’s speech. Then came the standing O.
Trump always says in his rallies about the Tea Party...
Cruz was elected as Senator from Texas by a lot of Tea Party people...and he also said that Justice John Roberts would be good in the Supreme Court and supported him...until he didn’t like him anymore:

And the tea party on radio talk show hosts:

So now you can see why Levin especially is taking Cruz’s side in all of this...
Along with 100% of FReepers
Maybe so, I didn’t vet John Roberts, was going back and forth from PA to Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York, so that was a fade for me...
But I do know that Cruz supported him and then turned away from him....
And you can’t say a 100% on FReepers, I wasn’t active on the board then, so don’t count on me until I say something....
Cruz supported Roberts.
Trump supported Hillary.
Advantage: Cruz.
So you've supported Roberts' decisions over the past couple of years, specifically as relates to Obamacare and homosexual "marriage"?
From Merriam-Webster the origin of TRUMP is the word TRIUMPH. Go Trump!
Tough to tell what significance to attach to that. Could be booing Trump for making a cheap shot (he does that), or could have been agreeing with Trump. If Trump flings a cheap shot at Hillary, the crowd boos too.
Oh good grief. Roberts was supported by virtually all conservatives. That red herring is a monumental waste of time, unless your plan is to fling all the poo possible.
But, that is pretty transparent.
Roberts wrote the main dissent in the SSM case. Not saying I agree with him on everything, but he’s nowhere near as liberal as he’s treated around here - he voted with the conservatives last term in four of five contested cases, including on SSM, voting rights, and collective bargaining.
I’d take a court of nine John Roberts clones over the current court any day of the week.
;-)) Words have meaning, hey?
Just wondering. Are they booing at Trump or is the booing directed at Cruz.?
...From Merriam-Webster the origin of TRUMP is the word TRIUMPH. Excellent find, my FRiend! And what a fantastic name to have in business or politics. Best part: the man's victories live up to his name! Let the trumpets blare! |
I was listening to an old time radio broadcast on an internet radio station of Sherlock Holmes. Holmes was playing cards and said he had the trump card. Then he went on to say the origin of Trump is Triumph. Just to be sure I looked it up. Sure enough it was true.
Cruz is the one that brought Roberts into the Bush administration, via the FL recount, and he championed him for SCOTUS.
