Juan Williams: GOP to blame for civility's breakdown
The Hill ^ | 19 Jan, 2016 | Juan Williams

If you ask me, President Obama is being way too hard on himself.

"It's one of the few regrets of my presidency, that the rancor and suspicion between the parties has gotten worse instead of better," the president said during his final State of the Union address last week. He added,

'a president with the gifts of Lincoln or Roosevelt might have better bridged the divide."

While I'm all for humility, the president is not to blame for the rancor and polarization that have characterized his presidency.

“While I’m all for humility, the president is not to blame for the rancor and polarization that have characterized his presidency.”

Really? Who called for the beer summit? Who said “If I had a boy he would be just like Trayvon?” Who supported BLM after 2 separate incidences involving criminals getting shot were blamed on the police? We could also mention who supported the destruction of OWS while condemning conservative marchers?

It wasn’t Republicans.

Obama is the quintessential meaning of rancor. Rancor born of a childhood indoctrination into Islam (one that will forever live in him) and a deep, abiding hatred of America instilled in him by his disturbed mother, grand parents and a father that was an opportunist user.

Yep, because the libs have always been respectful and sensitive in their criticisms of their opponents. Look how kindly they treated George Bush. Or Ronald Reagan. Or Richard Nixon. Classy all the way.

The Usurper has been the most divisive figure in American politics ever.
He hates America and Americans.
He hates our freedoms.
He hates the Constitution which says he cannot be President.

Lincoln holds that distinction. He will never be topped in that regard. Obama comes in second, a distant second. But there is still a year to go.....

What Democrats are calling the “breakdown of civility” is actually “the breakdown of political correctness.” In a free country, argumentative discourse, while not always pretty, is a net plus, and indicative of freedom.

It was very civil of leftist tyrants to line up the conservative opposition in front of the ditches.

Has Juan heard Obama’s “they bring a knife, we bring a gun quote”? How about “Get in their faces”? Or, “you didn”t build that”? Or the bitter clingers? Or the police acted stupidly? Or, how about the statement about at some point you have made enough money? Or, in a Congress meeting, “I am the President”?
