Larry Kudlow is LOSING IT over Cruz's 'New York Values' remarks. NYorkers more vain than Texans?
January 16, 2016 | Lee Martell

Posted on 01/16/2016 9:35:25 PM PST by lee martell

I'm listening to Kudlow's Money Talk on the radio. Larry, the host is furious at Ted Cruz for making his remarks. This has become almost a Rorschach Test where everyone gives their own interpretation on exactly what Ted was saying. I know what he was referring to, the New York that would elect Bill de Blasio, had elected Bloomberg, and Hillary to office long before that. These people were elected in spite of their hard left leanings. Ted was speaking of people like Governor Andrew Cuomo, who said "Pro Gun Supporters have no place in the state of New York. Who can forget about the "artpiece" featuring a crucifix dropped into a large jar of urine.

Larry was saying Cruz has ruined his chances and should leave the race. He said Trump 'eviscerated' Cruz in his responses. Some follow up callers disagreed with him, saying to forgive someone for a mistake is the Christian thing to do, vs disowning that person completely.

I don't know many individuals actually from New York, the city or the state. Are any of you more familiar with citizens of this state? Are most this sensitive to negative remarks? Do they still see themselves as the cultural centerpiece of the country?

The Supreme Court has already indicated that that is not the case as the soldier bore full allegiance to the American sovereign and had done nothing to indicate otherwise. United States v. Wong Kim Ark goes into quite a lot of detail about this actually.

My take on what Cruz was implying from the start.

Well, you just don't understand. This is great conservative sauce. It's made in New York City!

New York City?!?!?!

Photoshop anyone?

You didn’t answer my question. Is the baby of American soldier in Iraq an American or Iraqi?
If you say American, then Cruz is a naturally born American. No difference.

“Trump wants to take 11m illegals and legally make 11m new leftist voters.”

You’re kidding right? Where did you get this BS from?

Trump wants to deport all illegals, and build a wall to keep them out. Those deported illegals CAN apply for visas once back in their home countries, but they will have to get to the back of the line and come in legally.

The idea that Trump supports touch-back amnesty is INSANE bs from the Cruz camp.

One minute the Cruz camp is painting Trump as a fascist who will round up all the illegals with Stormtrooper feds, the next he says Trump is soft on immigration... These are inconsistent and lazy attacks that are divorced from reality.

Here’s one example from United States versus Wong Kim Ark: Thus, a person who is born on the ocean is a subject of the prince to whom his parents then owe allegiance; for he is still deemed under the protection of his sovereign, and born in a place where he has dominion in common with all other sovereigns. So the children of an ambassador are held to be [p660] subjects of the prince whom he represents, although born under the actual protection and in the dominions of a foreign prince.

Google is your friend. trump has said over and over he wants them a ALL to come back LEGALLY. It’s all a charade and it is sad for conservatives not to take him at his word.

I thought Free Republic was for conservatives. Cruz is a conservative, Trump is not.

Spare yourself lots of grief. Check with Jim Robinson.

Why can’t I get an answer? It’s obvious, you can’t answer the baby is American, naturally born because that means Cruz would be a naturally born American, thanks for playing though.
Americans give birth to Americans, no matter where they are. Simple really unles you are a leftist like Larry tribe or a Trump zombie.

Sure it does.

There are no doubt GOD FORSAKEN LIBERALS right there in those pics.

And it isn’t something any human would do. Some humans cheered it. Some humans, in fact, caused it. The humans that did pick up after are indeed among the humans that Ted Cruz insulted.

I’m sorry, just because you want to rescue your candidate from the pit he fell face first into doesn’t mean that you can.

And I really don’t care if you are insulted by what I said.

Deal with it.

I lived in New Orleans for 14. I know all about it. I don’t need you to inform me.

What you should do is inform Ted Cruz how not to make a complete fool out of himself.

People get so offended so easily. Bunch of babies, they need to get over it, seriously. Even if he didn’t mean it nicely - so what. Good grief.

Google 11/17/15 Newsweek column by Marc Thiessen. You will see Trump over and over wants everyone he deports to come back, legally. ( meaning amnesty ) do words mean anything or we just worship Trump like Obama voters???

There’s a huge difference. Cruz’s father bore allegiance to Canada, unlike the soldier and Ted was born into that allegiance. ted was subject to the jurisdiction of Canada. the soldier is subject to the jurisdiction of the United States.

Still no answer.

Let me help you, the soldier in Iraq gives birth to an American, even if the father was an Iraqi.

It is not hard folks.

Only people who wanted to be offended took issue.

So an American giving birth in Paris gives birth to a Frenchman because she is subject to the jurisdiction of France?

Has Trump made everyone stupid?

You’re dead wrong. Trump’s plan is heavily influenced Senator Jeff Sessions... It’s been throughly vetted and found to be the most hardline immigration plan of them all:

And please, if you’re going to make a wild claim back it up with a source. It’s the intellectually honest thing to do.

Cruz won a Strawpoll conducted by a bunch of Trump hating RINOs and he still came in second...

http://www.coachisright.com/ted-cruz-wins-a-straw-poll-of-new-york-citys-republican-establishment-elite-what-does-that-say/

“The NYCMRC headquarters was the setting for Michael Bloomberg’s 2005 mayoral campaign. The Met Club (as it calls itself), proudly lists George Pataki as one of its success stories during the 2000s when its membership “swelled”, as they report, to 521 establishment Republicans.

It was also the power base for State Senator Roy Goodman’s years and years of being Mister Republican Establishment in New York City.”
